After. Whats the point of brushing them before if you're only going to get food on them straight after?

Personally I have to brush my teeth before breakfast, because my mouth is minging and full of ****, can't eat food in that state.

 But it's the most important meal of the day

On the very rare occasion I'm up in time to have a breakfast I brush my teeth first, saves the journey back upstairs.

Neither as I rarely have breakfast, not before I leave the house anyway - technically it's before though I don't eat till i've been up a few hours.

From a dental point of view:

It is important that you brush twice a day with a toothpaste containing fluoride. The best times are before breakfast and last thing at night before you go to bed.

Eating and drinking naturally weakens the enamel on your teeth, and brushing straight afterwards can cause tiny particles of enamel to be brushed away. It is best not to brush your teeth until at least one hour after eating.

I don't like eating or drinking anything straight after brushing my teeth because it tastes funny. So, I tend to eat first on the days I actually eat breakfast.

After, you can't brush your teeth and then have a cup of tea, tastes rank.

Like Mrluva says: most foods or drinks taste vile after brushing your teeth. You've got to 'wait a while'. Unless it's something minty......

What sort of bellend would brush their teeth before a meal?

I'm sorry but;

1. You're going to get your teeth dirty again
2. Your breakfast will taste like Colgate.

You aren't sorry at all about calling people bellends.....don't pretend that you are.

Before btw. My mouth just tastes a bit "urgh" in the morning so I always have to brush as soon as I get up.

I presume you brush your teeth straight after EVERYTHING else you eat then.

2. Your breakfast will taste like Colgate.

Better than that awful taste you get in your mouth when you wake up. Anyway I wait for a bit before eating breakfast so it does not taste like toothpaste.

My dentist tells me to brush my teeth as soon as I wake up in the morning, and just before I go to sleep.

Usually after but if I am having a late breakfast I will then clean them before.
