Is this really how you see people on benefits?
Its actually quite a small minority that are scroungers. Pisses me off that people have this attitude actually because I was on benefits myself at one point and everyone looked down on me too...even though I was doing everything I ****ing could to get better so I could get a job :/

Was for a few months last year (or was it the year before? Can't even remember at this point). Most depressing thing ever walking in the Job Centre every week.

You'd think there was a record high unemployment rate or something.

I'd happily take benefits if they helped me out. But I'm not currently on benefits, but a student loan is kinda one lol

Does the OP realise that state pensioners are also on benefits? Mums who get tax credits are also on benefits.
That word gets banded about as if its some kind of disease.

Fair enough on that, but you do know I only said alot of them are and not that the majority of them are?:joker:
Anyway thank you for the information Kizzy, it does make you realise how misleading the media really is.

Commendable what you say jf, however the number of real scroungers is a minority indeed of those on benefits, also as to jobs, there are something like at best half a million vacancies in the Country and 2.6 million+ unemployed at present.
It doesn't take a genius to work out that you cannot employ 2.6 million people in only half a million jobs available. So for quite a long while in the foreseeable future millions of people will still need to be on benefits by 'no' fault of their own.

Think you're asking a bit of a personal question there, Salman, although your poll's private, which is good.
