Could be to do with the FA Cup final on Saturday, people missing the live show, then obviously won't watch the results show either. Or because the first results show wasn't done particularly well. idk.
Can't see the ratings going any lower.

I watched the results show for the sake of watching last night.
I already knew the results and I bet a lot of others did as well.

Not suprising when it started with the blind auditions it was new and interesting. By this point it's just XF minus the big production.
Don't think you're the only one who predicted that.
The results shows need to be live, none of this pre-recorded nonsense.

This, it feels like a cheap XF tbh, and the judges are all pretty poor not really seeming to know what to say and giving a standing ovation to basically every performance and not criticising anybody

No idea why they thought itd be a good idea to pre-record them.

Its basically getting the same ratings as "Fame Academy" did years ago and that was classed as a flop.

Woah, 6.53m? That's kind of shocking, aww. I know there are like, a lot of problems with the format, but I didn't think it was thaaat bad.
Still prefer it to The X Factor :idc:

So do I. The X Factor got so tedious to watch with the same old performances, voting out the best contestants and same old plots. :idc:, if Ruth Brown had done TXF she'd have likely done Purple Rain by now, if somebody does that on this show -yawn-

Even if it is pretty much a lower budget X Factor at this point, it's different enough that it doesn't completely bore me like X Factor does.

This was to be expected, the public righfully only care about Team Will.
Let's just give Jaz the record contract, sign Will up for season 2, and get the show over with.

I'm really enjoying the Voice, it might not be up to the standards of the X Factor is some people's minds, but if this first series is anything to go by I will be looking forward to many shows in the future.

I like it because I like the judges and the show itself doesn't seem unnecessarily dragged out. I appreciate there's a lot less fake drama (no waiting an hour for any result) and just getting straight to the point.
But, I much preferred the blind auditions. They were interesting, other than that I'm bored of these shows now TBH.

Not at all surprised. This week's live show (Saturday) was a huge improvement on the first, but the production still doesn't compare to that of BGT and X Factor, which are just huge in comparison. The whole feel of the show feels quite lacklustre as a result.
But the pre-recorded show that's got an odd length, is sandwiched in the schedule at ridiculous times and has a very odd format is just awful and I can only see this getting worse. Why on earth they thought it was a good idea to pre-record, I don't know. I saw this coming a mile off. Both shows need to be live, and on a production side of things they need to bring it up to the standard of BGT and X Factor.
The Sunday show should be live for an hour between 7pm and 8pm.

The last two weeks Will.I.Am and Jessie J have both tweeted while the show is live on air?:conf:

Because it's a lot cheaper and it'd probably be seen as a waste of license fee payers money to splash out on a live Sunday show when they can just do it this way, they do the same for Strictly

Disagree. I think they should put the results show on the Saturday but keep it at half an hour. I miss the days a results show did what it said on the tin. I hate how X Factor spends 45 minutes promoting some miming, uninterested popstar; asks the judges how they feel every 5 minutes before getting to the actual point.

SCD was actually better when they filmed the results show live on the same day.

But it works for Strictly, not for this (I thought I'd put that in my last post but I hadn't...weird). Two completely different shows and two completely different audiences. I had to avoid Twitter this week because during the first results show I went on and the impending result was spoiled for me, with Strictly that doesn't happen because the target audience aren't really that bothered and the results don't get leaked as widely.
It may be cheaper but while ever they've trying to compete with BGT/XF they really can't sit behind and not provide two live shows. If they can't afford a second night, even a separate live results show on Saturday night would be fine. Pre-recorded just doesn't work, if you ask me they can't have it both ways. Either do it all live on Saturday, or have it live both nights. Not just pre-recording it for Sunday in a bid to try (and fail) to achieve an extra night of decent ratings in an oddly scheduled time slot.

Hold on bro Fame Academy was amazing :idc:
Do it on Saturday and it'd clash with BGT which'd be even worse for ratings

19:00 - 20:30 - The Voice
20:30 - 21:30 - BGT
21:30 - 22:00 - The Voice Results
Sorted. All it needs is a bit of mature discussion between all the bosses, they managed to do it for a while for XF and Strictly so I don't see why they can't do it here. It's always the viewers that end up with the problem following their petty disputes over scheduling.
BGT went on for an hour and a half last saturday though ending at 10.15, at which point the BBC is doing their news as always and then Match of the Day so it isn't really that simple, and also the BBC shows Casualty on saturday nights which they'd have to ditch to do that. Being a publicly funded channel they're not really at liberty to host an expensive live show on the sunday like ITV can, they've just got to provide the cheapest option to the highest quality possible and they must feel it isn't worth the added cost to do a live show

I think the 2 shows have a totally different kind of "atmosphere" if you like. I don't actually know how to explain it, but they are in fact quite different. BGT portrays the actual theatre environment, which I think gives the whole variety feel, with Ant & Dec in the sidelines. It gives a classic entertainment feel to the series. One that people would actually go out to see on a Saturday night many years ago. Most of all though, I think it has a lot of humour. A balance though, if you like, of acts we can laugh at, and ones we can take seriously. (I think that's why, in some respects, we like The X-Factor too. We like the rubbish acts that we see in the early episodes).
The Voice tries to be more polished, and although I like the fact that I can take the acts more seriously, there is something missing from the show, and I think that is actually the variety, and the humour.
There are many other issues that I guess need to be addressed, but I continue to enjoy both in their own rights. The Voice is only in it's infancy, and can only get better with a little bit of care.

That was only cause of the football though, if The Voice had to be pushed earlier if they wanted a longer show then I don't see why they couldn't start at 18:30.
To be honest all of this wouldn't be happening (at least a lot) if BGT had stuck to its usual start date, and the semi-finals would be in half term week as usual as well.
The point is, whichever way you look at it, pre-recording doesn't appear to be working. And from the reaction I've seen to people's knowledge of it being pre-recorded, it doesn't seem to be good either. The ratings speak for themselves to be honest, if you ask me I think they could justify a second live show, the show's popular enough.

This feels like a much better option and as Jack pointed out, sandwich it around the BGT show.

This programme is HORRIBLE.
It has to be fixed, how can that awful untalented Tyler get through?""wtf? He totally ruined Bohemian Rhapsody, that was a travesty and I felt embarrassed watching it.
"And now live, we have Cheryl..."
Umm Cheryl Who?
Do they REALLY think she's that big they don't have to say her surname in the introduction?
Dolly Parton, Tina Turner and the like may get away with it, but talentless wag Cheryl Cole who was in a so-so girl band?
I don't think so mate.

I really hope the final can get at least 7 million.
They've really got to put in a lot of effort next year, it's a shame that it's declined so quickly, because the talent >>> BGT/X Factor recent acts.
