Do you want it to be something that is encouraged or not?
I personally think it should be. BBUK in the past has been great but it is getting a bit old and I think the best way to revamp is introducing a stronger competition element.

Well i mean i dont want a house full of the American twins. Its entertaining in small doses but gets boring very quickly.

I'm the opposite, I just watch BB for the stuff most people consider boring, the stupid tasks and all that lot. I'm not into all the fighting and gameplaying

Coolio, Anton, the twins, Victor... Housemates that are open about their gameplan are always amazing

Yeah its good in small doses.
We allways need a b!tch and a backstabber to make a series great but thats not what i want the series to just be about.
BBUS is very much just focused on the game and dramatic music and just seems nothing like Big Brother.

To add to my last comment actually Anton sucked at being a game player it was all for the camera and none of his "schemes" even affected the house.
Total fail.

Complete morons thinking they are clever is what has ruined bb in the last couple of years it cheapens it and turns it into tv for dumbasses.

Anton vs Aaron was the only good thing about that series
Nope hate all the gameplaying stuff where they focus on gameplans and all that nonsense. Much prefer housemates being entertaining without relying on silly tactics.

I wouldn't want a series where everybody was gameplaying, but 3 or 4 gameplayers would be perfect.
Gameplayers make shows interesting and fun to watch. BB USA & Survivor are so much more enjoyable than BB UK

The best gameplay is that which you don't notice is gameplaying.

Game playing is amazing. That is why Big Jason and Victor made BB5 what it was, because although it had a great theme, house, tasks etc - it would of just been filled with a pack of 'Hyenas' as Jason called them, if it hadn't of been for the JCs.
In BB12 - we had abit of game playing, and it was ******ing shot down constantly on BOTS and stuff by the little chavs who want to watch 'every1 getting along n dancing 2 nicki minaj wif lots of booze n just bein happpy lyh alex =)'
These are the bastards that ruin the show. That's why I was so glad Lord Aaron won it. A true game player, went in with a game plan, came out the winner. He was in that final with a bunch of dullards who didn't know what they were doing or where they were.
We need alot of game players in BB13 - maybe then people will get it into their ******ing heads that Big Brother IS A GAME SHOW.
I like the odd funny gameplayers like Anton was last year, just being really blatant about it and not trying to hide that he had a gameplan but:

I don't like gameplayers like this, what's good about someone just putting on a completely fake persona to win, that just removes any humour or entertainment from it. It is a gameshow to some extent but it's also a reality show so I like to see real people and personalities in there too
Jake.

'Gameplayers' who fail epically (ANTON) can fu** right off. But I don't want a boring series. A couple of gameplayers, a bitch or two and there you go.
It really annoys me when people call it a gameshow...It's not Deal or No Deal or Catchphrase, the housemates don't fully determine where they place and how well they do, it's up to the voting public to vote to keep them in/get them out. Gameshows don't have that because it's everyone playing for themselves, because that's what a gameshow is...
There might be some gameplaying aspects with nominations and stuff, but doesn't turn the entire show into a gameshow. It's an entertainment reality show, and a popularity contest. Another reason why I find it silly people go in with gameplans and stuff because those can only get you so far - when it comes down to it it's the public that'll ultimately be deciding your fate.

I said nothing about adopting a fake persona - that's what Anton did last year and he was a self-confessed gameplayer.

I don't get the "Aaron was a great gameplayer" line. He said he had a gameplan on the first night, but he never showed that throughout the show imo. He alienated almost every housemate and most of the public, not exactly a great gameplayer. He won because the fans he did have were extremely loyal and determined. I don't say this as an Aaron hater because I liked him, I much preferred him to the likes of Jay and Aden, who were wastes of space in that house. I just never saw him as a good gameplayer, or a gameplayer at all.
As for the bolded part ... BBUK didn't start off as a gameplay type of show. As it grew, some fans decided they wanted more strategy, but that doesn't mean that BBUK is based on strategy and gameplay ... it really isn't. Never has been. The housemates who go in and don't become involved in plotting etc know exactly where they are. The BBUK house, not the BBUS house.
That said, I like some gameplay to liven things up and cause factions. But sometimes people overdo it and look like they're trying too hard to be the "villains" of the series.

Yeah I do sorta agree, BB isn't really a gameshow, not in the normal sense anyway even if there is room for an element of gameplaying
I said nothing about adopting a fake persona - that's what Anton did last year and he was a self-confessed gameplayer.
I mean people like Alex though, I think she did have gameplan by putting on this persona of being a loveable and innocent dumb blonde, but that wasn't entertaining gameplaying; Anton's was because he made no secret about it
I don't think Aaron had a gameplan, if he did I don't know why regularly having a strop, pissing off loads of the housemates and getting yourself nominated a lot of weeks would be a part of it
Locke.

Yeah, the Aaron/gameplan argument was always ridiculous. Everybody who disliked him would jump on it as fact. It never made any sense.

I agree with whoever said about game players letting the public know or something, that's what I like too.
That's why Jason and Victor were brilliant, they told us about their game plan. They set up every night discussing it, and planning their next move - it was fantastic.
As did Anton, and where did it get him? Evicted. Because the public are wankers. Who would rather watch people like Alex and Tom dancing or Rachel Rice and Steve Gill.
I do believe if the public could be more accepting of game players, then in the future we'll get more open housemates - and I think Aaron winning, will only influence more game playing in the future, someone mentioned that on BOTS one time aswell. That if Aaron wins it will change the show's future, because housemates will learn from it.
...if you like gameplay so much why do you hate Big Brother USA? :conf2:
I don't hate BB USA - I hate the host, and how people on here use to compare our series with BB USA and claim we need to take some of their ideas, when there was nothing wrong with our show.
I keep meaning to watch a series of BB USA - just because I like the houses, and know that game playing is such a big part of it, but never get around to it.
