View Full Version : What do you do with old greetings cards?
..throw away..recycle..keep..?
I've been sorting through some things and found I have various greetings cards which must go back at least 10 years..come to think of it..other than Christmas cards - I don't recall disposing of any..and actually it was lovely reading them again after such a long time..is anyone else a hoarder of this sort of thing..?
..that's really lovely Alex..thank you for sharing something so personal...
..and it's a great idea to scan them..I hadn't thought of that

Keep special ones, that look like they've had an effort put into them, recycle the others

When ever i get down i can still get support from my mom through her letters/post cards/holiday cards. Definitely a treasure.

I keep the ones that people put effort into. I scrap ones that're just "To Shaun, Love ____"... but my best friend makes handmade ones with photographs of us together and writes loads in them, and I've had loads of old friends and uh...online love interests... do the same. I've got about 8 or 10 stuck on my bedroom wall up here at Uni.

Spiffing
I got a handmade one once, from the special child in our class. Was awful, bless. But I've kept it somewhere.
I like the nice ones with messages in them or notes that come in them, but I'd feel really strange keeping Christmas or birthday ones up all year round lol

LOL..that's a bit harsh Arista..I'm not entirely convinced the news of me sorting through my cupboards sent them into Administration..I think there may have been a few other factors involved
I keep them all in a box.

I found a box with all my christmas and birthday cards from the last 4-5 years in and was mortified I'd kept them all. Recycled all of the bog-standard ones and kept ones with long messages in, and congratulations cards from my exams etc.
