I've gotta go with Voyager personally. but i'm not tryna influence everyone else when you respond. I just love Voyager, and could watch it a million times over, such great characters and storylines, it's soo good!

The original is the only great one. TNG embodies everything wrong with science fiction. Deep Nine is good as well, the other two are just pitiful though

Even if you don't like Voyager as the best series, you must admit that it had the best opening title theme song. Voyager <333

This reminds me of my mum. We used to watch it together.
I am not into Star Trek as much as I used to be, I do love Sci Fi though. My favourite would have to be Star Trek the original series, closely followed by Star Trek: Voyager. Star Trek: The Next Generation is ok, I couldn't get into Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, apart from a few episodes, plus there were too many irritating characters in it and it focused 'far' too much on the fights between the Cardassians and Bajorans and later the Jem a dar (excuse spelling) and the Founders, rather than more mixtures of stories. Star Trek: Enterprise shouldn't even be in that line up, it's c**p.

I love The Next Generation! My brother prefers Voyager. :)

The original series had its charm, but Next Generation was better in every way, the relationships between crew members seemed more important, and the characters all seemed very well done, plus Riker is badass

Voyager used to be my favourite, but I think more could have been done with the series, they should have made changes to the ship as the series progressed, I'd have loved to have seen a season based on the Year of Hell double parter, imagine a season with the ship looking like this, and the crew slowly rebuilding

To be fair that's one
The good characters?
Reg Barclay, Deanna Troi, Will Riker, Jean Luc Picard, Beverly Crusher, Worf, Data, Geordie LaForge, Miles O'Brien, Guinan...
I think all those make up for Wesley, who, might I add, was only in the first few seasons, before he left for Starfleet Academy, and made one or two guest appearances later on

Deep Space Nine is good for what it is. It's nothing special or brilliant, but it's pretty enjoyable

From what I hear it's generally more serialised, which makes it harder to watch (since when you miss an episode, you miss plot developments)
Moving this in to the tv section.

Same, I think people are put off when Star Trek is mentioned, because they imagine super serious science fiction, but I've been rewatching the whole series on DVD lately, and theres tons of character scenes I missed out on when I watched it on TV

DS9, Voyager and Enterprise have good theme songs. DS9 and Voyager have an orchestra playing the theme while Enterprise uses that one song from the movie Patch Adams.

Enterprise's mirror universe opening is badass

It's cool but it's not very Star Treky. most of it looks like stock footage, feels like i've seen most of that footage before in other things.
I don't like how it feels like they are trying to turn Star Trek into like some sort of weird hyrbid of Terminator and Total Recall and star Wars. It feels like the people that are in charge of Star Trek now don't really GET Star Trek.
It feels like they are trying to make it more masculine. Star Trek isn't suppossed to be masculine, that's the whole point of Star Trek is that we're suppossed to be overcomming those basest reactions we have as humans, and evolve into being smarter, and more patient, and more compationate. That's what was great about Star Trek.
Scarlett.
09-05-2012, 12:20 PM
But that was the idea of Enterprise's proper opening, showing human development, the mirror universe version was showing humanity's history of destruction.
I don't mind the new Star Trek too much, but it does lack a depth that the original ST shows have, I do hope that after the new films are done, someone does a new Star Trek series set in the original universe.

they are a cute little alien species, like a cross between cats and rabbits. They reproduce very quickly :P
