View Full Version : Joe.'s BB13 Project---> GARDEN/LIVING ROOM/DIARY ROOM- **FINISHED**
Hey- here's my new project, have only done the eye and one room so far but yeah- just sharing it with you all-
Sorry for the bad quality eye, but I'm quite happy with it, it resembles the inside of a bee hive in a way that goes with some of the themes in the house!

Comments are much appreciated!

why thankyou! I'm not too sure on it, it fits with some themes in the house though and I am thinking of an interesting twist to do with it

I really like that!
Finally updating
Done most rooms- Kitchen/Dining room
- Garden
+ Diary Room
[Bedroom to do]
I think the diary room is amazing- nicknamed 'The Hive' this year!- so proud of it and the garden is massive!
So here's the entrance-got a bamboo feel to it but lit up by the vibrant flooring, we can see a hinting of honeycombing effect on the door into the house- sorry if the second pic looks scruffy- attempted to blur the door into the house so you don't see anythign quite yet :P

The enterance is okay:)
Entrance pt 2 and Bedroom Door
So here's another entrance picture with that blurry bit 'unblurred'- the entrance leads into the kitchen/dining area!
http://oi45.tinypic.com/2lkz62u.jpg
Now we're gradually going to venture into the house- so here's your first picture of what the entrance looks like from in the house-
http://oi49.tinypic.com/29onbdk.jpg
Now here's the bedroom door viewed from the entrance- as you can see we're keeping with the 'beehive' feel to the house-

Tomorrow i'll upload some more pictures as we venture into the kitchen!

Not keen :/
Venturing into the Dining room/Kitchen
So as things go you can really start to see a theme coming along here in terms of shapes- that's the kitchen counter to the left-
http://oi47.tinypic.com/2qvql5h.jpg
Now you can see more of the kitchen counter, the crazy floor design and the dining room table that is round!-
http://oi45.tinypic.com/2w6xmps.jpg
This picture shows the full kitchen in all it's flory- I love the semi-cirlcleness of it and the design on the surface is those hexagons again-
http://oi50.tinypic.com/35i2fx3.jpg
Here's the other side of the kitchen where we can see the store cupboard and a breakfast bar for the housemates aswell as the fridge and some cupboards!-
http://oi48.tinypic.com/2dshedc.jpg
The other side of the room is a very different story, we can see the round dinign table in all it's glory that seats 12-
http://oi50.tinypic.com/md2jpg.jpg
The backdrop to the dining table very much keep's with this year's theme- a giant bee!-
http://oi47.tinypic.com/yos1z.jpg
Finally here's the view from the bedroom door- and a peak outside-

What don't you like about it?
I don't like the overall wooden texture... It looks tacky.
But i'm not knocking the actual construction. Your improving on your last projects. It just looks a bit.... too much?

It's terrible sorry.
The overuse of the wood is, like Jarrod says 'tacky'.
Vast improvement on your previous project I guess.

Its Awful!
The Garden + Living Room
Been AGES since I've updated this, haven't done a bedroom so I'll put up the remainder of the project today-
First up- the garden!-
here's the entrance from the kitchen/dining area to the garden-
http://oi47.tinypic.com/33avvyo.jpg
beside the entrance to the garden is the diary room door or 'the hive' as it's known this series!-
http://oi46.tinypic.com/2mg0b2a.jpg
the jacuzzi sit's above the massive swimming pool-
http://oi47.tinypic.com/52xgfo.jpg
this next picture shows the full length of the pool-
http://oi49.tinypic.com/dllqpd.jpg
there's some beach balls and deck chairs set out for the long summer ahead-
http://oi46.tinypic.com/xlj75t.jpg
a bbq and outside cooking area will be available to the housemates-
http://oi50.tinypic.com/2i87rx4.jpg
a closer up look can see tables for the housemates outside-
http://oi50.tinypic.com/kd6dk5.jpg
beside the bbq area there's a giant plasma screen where Brian can talk directly to the house and Big Brother can play out nominations to the housemates at their discretion-
http://oi48.tinypic.com/21ouiw.jpg
on the other side of the garden doors are some swings-
http://oi47.tinypic.com/2rr16xl.jpg
next to the swings is a 'home' area where there's a bookshelf, a lamp and a secret door leading to a secret camera run around the living room, housemates may be granted access to this at different points in the series-
http://oi46.tinypic.com/t8t65v.jpg
this year the seating area is outside, well- it has a roof but is basically outside, this means during evictions housemates will be able to hear the crowd's reaction [re-Grace BB7] the sofa is designed to blend into the grass but the goregeous honeycomb effect continues around the sofa's-

Finally some last shots of the garden and living area-

http://oi46.tinypic.com/2usbbt1.jpg
The next post will include the diary room-
THE DIARY ROOM
Continuing on with the bee hive theme the diary room really is something special this year- in fact this year's diary room has been nicknamed 'The Hive'...

http://oi49.tinypic.com/2hofnug.jpg
Yes- housemates will be sitting on a gigantic bee in this year's diary room!
Hope you've all enjoyed this project- went with a theme and made it really different to other houses you'll see on this forum!

I don't get the criticism towards this house. It's different, which is almost always good in some way. I think the main problem is that it is hard to translate these kind of designs through sketchup, but when I imagine what this house would look like in real life, I think it would be nice :) I really like the kitchen area, but is there no bedroom or bathroom?
Thanks Conor, yeah I was planning to do a bathroom and bedroom but decided against it- I mean i'm happy with what i've done on this project.
I am really pleased with it, yeah I think I have kinda overused the wood effect but think in real life it'd look so much better!
Hope you like the overall theme with it, I really wanted to do something which nobody had seen before and aside from other houses having an overall theme throughout!

I really like the wood theme :) There's alot of it in the real BB house this year and it's one of my favs. Also was interesting to see someone carry a them the whole way through the project.

Thanks again, yeah, I wasn't too sure about the wood theme but yeah it looks more realistic than wallpaper I suppose, I'm really happy with this project though and I'm really happy with the overall theme- glad you like it!
