I agree and they need a cutdown on the dance acts, as it is getting boring!
Seriously it's unfair when it's supposed to be a variety show you get loads of singers who could be on X Factor flooding in and the real talents who can only go on this show don't get a chance because of it.

No. Because a talent show should allow pretty much 'everything'.
However, no singer should be put through unless they are truly exceptional. The girl that was just on was nothing special at all and shouldn't have been on tonight.

Agreed, they should seriously rename it Britain's Got Singers with some dance acts too. It's beyond a joke now.

I agree singers are catered for in other talent shows. Have to admit though that BGT has turned up far better singers than the X factor could in a million years.
Never the less its a shame that speciality acts like majic acts and acrobatics etc get pushed out of the final because of singers and those stupid damn twitching robotics so called dancers.....
I think the format should be re-hashed so that different categories of acts definitely have a representative act in the final show....

Not all - the occasional child act and opera - but every other are as said catered on so many other shows. People relate to singing a lot more also and it just clogs up the live shows and distracts away from variety which is BGT's purpose.

Most of them wouldn't even make it past boot camp, none of them would make it to the live shows
Singers that aren't pop-ey like classical, yes, and I agree they need to clamp down on all these crappy kids dance groups, they're too guilty to reject them all
No.
Singing is a talent  like you said, Opera is fine, which is a type of singing
Wouldn't surprise me if a lot of the BGT singers have already been rejected by XF before, if you were serious about your singing I'd imagine you would try and enter a singing competition and not go straight into a talent show/variety contest

I mean, Sam Kelly and Ryan to go on other singing shows, same as The Mend and Rogues.
It's a piss-take we'll have 6/10 finalists as singers on a VARIETY show.

The odd one or two or child singer is fine. But apart from that, yes.

No, because of course child singers aren't eligible to enter shows like X Factor. I also imagine BGT is a much easier show to win for a singer anyway.
Perhaps there's a bit of an overload on singers but if that's what the public vote for, what can you do? It's still a talent.

Well, I suppose for singer/song writers like Ryan BGT is more suitable because he can sing his own material, he wouldn't be allowed do that on X factor or the Voice
