Have BB fans turned into whiners?

All there seems to be is people comparing the new to old, or getting at the presenter, or the production, or the crowd. I don't think it's been that bad with Ch5. The first one wasn't great, but the normal one was pretty good and the celeb one was even better than that. They even cut down on the editing as well, so felt like "old" BB at times.

The thing about Big Brother, another reason it's so special is because it has one of the most loyal fan bases. Especially in the UK where if something's wrong with the show, we voice our opinion.
And if anything Endemol and Channel 5 should be over the moon that we as fans express ourselves so much and let them know what's working and what's not working, we're not whining - although some people who had a problem over the new eye, need to get a grip.

But yeah, we're just very very passionate and want the show to do well.

I only ever complained about the favourtism towards certain Housemates before which as bad as it is I could live with that, it's when you feel that the whole show is full of love stories and producers giving out scripts to certain Housemates and taking away Live Feed (which is the whole point of BB) is when I start moaning, and I think every BB fan has that right considering all those stuff mentioned that Ch5 have taken away or added to the series.

Also not everyone is fame hungry who auditions for Big Brother, it is a game show with £100,000 prize money, do they think people on Deal or not Deal or The Cube are fame hungry?
Some of us just want to do something out of the ordinary or experience something rare, others may be at a crossroads or bored with life and want the excitement - just because someone is attractive it doesn't necessarily make them fame hungry, it's always the attractive one's who get called fame hungry wannabe's what about the older or uglier one's or the geeks or posh one's who have been in before?

On the plus side, the fame hungry wannabe's are usually evicted early and we love to hate in the UK so it all makes for great viewing anyway.

I never said you didn't have a right to. Just pointing out the hypocrisy of you saying that people are "ungrateful" and overreacting about this year's eye when you behaved in the exact same way last year. YOU feel it's better than last years but not everyone shares that opinion.

Well even in the 'glory' years plenty were still fame hungry, it started years ago. The last normal one was the best mix I've seen in a while, lots of personalities that clashed. And the ones that really wanted fame were the ones that lost out. Alex, Jay, Louise, Rebeckah etc

I think if people find things about the show that they don't like they should be able to complain, even more so if they're genuine fans and just want to improve something to make the show better. That being said, some people seem to have nothing but negative things to say about it and that's what I hate. Theres voicing your opinion and then there's just being annoying.

The original BB shows, the first few WERE the best. After that: it slowing disintegrated into mostly a platform for wannabees: with the very occasion 'normal' person being put in the house.

I wouldn't say the show is being slated by the fans, if the series is good then the forums will have mostly positive comments, it's impossible for everyone to like what Channel 5 do, but if Channel 5 deliver crap there will be mostly negative comments.

If I'm honest I think that fans on here do love Big Brother but they are just afraid of Channel 5 producing a bad series as they don't really have long time fans trust, although they are doing an ok job.

I agree, some people are just never happy and pick faults in everything C5 do, I admit the show needs tweaking but Channel 5 have been more responsive to the fans than Channel 4 ever were.

I think 'Vote to Save' is a good example, I remember so many people begging for it to be changed from 'Vote to Evict' to 'Vote to Save' and now its changed it seems everyone is still unhappy.

Also, there are things that just aren't going to change so people would be as well to stop constantly posting the same things about the same problems i.e Brian presenting.

All 5 seem to have done is axe the live feed and chop BB down to 10 weeks to make room for more CBB. They seem to be responsible for the online stuff too, which left a lot to be desired.

Everything else I would lay at the hands of the production team, including the manic editing style, choice of housemates, tasks and twists. There's another new creative director this year (Dennis O'Connor replacing Gavin Henderson) so some of that may change again.

BB has to listen to what we want - we can not have air heads again with no conversation other then the 3 letter word. and BB has to give us something to watch ie hidden tasks and spice things up with tricks and games - i remember when glen and nikki and ashlyn were in there - now that is what i call BB.

Only BB4 and BB8 are worse than the overrated BB7 imo. It did have a few great housemates and a few epic eviction nights, but overall I did find that series really hard work to stick with I can tell you.:sleep:

The best housemate imo Shabaz was gone way too early and then that horrible arrogant man called Sezer went too soon when Lea should have gone instead for the good of the series.:mad: Then Grace went not too long after and we were left with too many bores like Lea, Pete, Glyn, Jennie and Mikey who all made painfully boring live feed.:sleep::sleep::sleep:
