Do you prefer to read fiction or nonfiction?

Niamh.

Fiction definitely

Fiction.

I like learning about non-fiction topics but whenever I get the urge to read a book it has to be fiction.

The only non fiction I read are auto-biographies and I've only read two of those, I have to be really, really into the person to do that as well

I love fiction, well fantasy to be specific.

I don't think I've ever read a non-fiction book.

I like both, fiction's definitely more enjoyable to read but nonfiction can be really interesting

Same as Niamh and Princess, nearly always fiction, but if I like a celebrity I'll read their bio/autobio.

Has to be non-fiction. As a general rule I don't like things that aren't real (with regards to books anyway), seems a bit pointless to me. I've read a couple that I've enjoyed and there's a few that I'd like to read before I die but on the whole I prefer reality.

The books I read tend to be non-fiction

As for this section, the majority of it tends to be fiction

However as a writer of Sci-fi - Fantasy as in the Mystical Realms stories I did, in the early ones when I was able I did quite extensive research to get things right.

If you dig up my season seven I put in quite a lot about the Soviet Space programme of the 1950's and 1960's

But I digress

I prefer non-fiction, but don't mind a little fiction now and then, especially fantasy.

Both - depends on the author.

Can't stand all the lovey dovey mush stuff or sci-fi rubbish.

Meaty, gritty, thrillers, horrors, real life stories about all sorts.

Fiction, but like Niamh I like autobiographies if I have an interest in the person....The best autobiography I read was Rik Mayalls' Bigger Than Hitler, Better Than Christ which was hilarious but not entirely non fiction....
