Experian Hitwise put Pinterest among the top 30 websites in the U.S.

A recent referral traffic report by Shareaholic states, “Pinterest drives more referral traffic than Google+, LinkedIn and YouTube combined.”

With over 100 million unique monthly visits (MOVs) in February, Pinterest is one of the fastest growing sites on the Web.

Does anybody here use it?

I only joined a few months back, and I used it for posting images, but decided it was a bit lame. I didn't really know how to use it properly, but I have since discovered you can post videos, articles, news reports, anything you want really. You create your own boards, and then can add things to them as you wish, creating new ones along the way.

There is an option to add the "pin it" button to your toolbar, which makes it easy to add things to your boards, which are set out in different categories. So you can be looking at something on the internet, and add it to one of your boards easily if you like it, or want to refer back to it at some point.

You can also follow people on there if you like what someone is posting, or "like" certain things, same way as other social networking sites. It's more about images/videos etc, rather than comments, which Twitter is more about, but once something is posted, you can comment about that particular subject.

I think it is at first to be honest. Although once you get accustomed to it, it becomes a lot easier. I do not think I am aware of it's full potential. It would actually be good if you could tailor the good points from each of the social networking sites to serve your own needs as everyones are different.
