Well following on from Survivor 24: One World.. is going to be the Philippines.

It's going to have 3 tribes, and each tribe will be headed up by somebody who has been previously medevac'ed from the past 24 seasons of survivor.

Returning players are: Jonathan Penner, Michael (Skupin) from Australia and Russell Swan from Samoa

Galu was one of the best tribes ever (better than Foa Foa without question) and suffered from extreme under-editing because of Russell Hantz.

And Michael was actually amazing and one of the best characters in Outback (and that says a lot considering the number of great characters that season) so they're completely warranted choices ^_^ If anything, Penner's the one I'm least excited about since he's already played twice.

Actually they're all acceptable except for John. Galu just suffered from getting an AWFUL edit. The way Samoa was edited made the season suck. Foa Foa was an awful tribe and they received all the airtime because they edited it into the Russell Hantz show and Galu was rarely shown. Samoa had potential to be one of the best seasons if the editing was more balanced and focused more on the dynamics of Galu. Just because a tribe was extremely underedited doesn't mean that they're not amazing.

Why hate Brett he was clearly going to win if he won the final immunity, and I wanted him to. It sucked they showed nothing of him until the last 2 episodes, he seemed like a cool dude. Is it true that when he lost the final immunity he basically prepared Natalie, telling her what to say too the jury, and as soon as he went to the jury place he told everyone to vote for Natalie?

Anyway on the return people, I dont mind them, Mick was a psycho is 2, Russell was kinda boring, but its always sad when someone has to leave like that, and Jonathan was a interesting one in cooks (have not seen fans vs fav yet).

I've never really found Ozzy that entertaining tbh but the others I agree they were entertaining to different extents. Coach I kinda like for his lulz factor but he was *****d out so much in his original season (and had a LOT of screentime the other two but nothing compared to his original). With Russell, I may have been able to tolerate him more if he wasn't literally the main focus in every episode he's in and it wasn't the same **** over and over. Rob pretty much made his own winning season boring but otherwise he's consistent.

As for the whole women thing the only person I can think of that they'd invite back at this point would be Jane :rolleyes: and I could see them giving Parvati a 4peat.

Well you'd want to avoid watching the allstars versions because they will ruin the original seasons that led to them.. that was like me anyway I watched the first allstars ones and it ruined who the winners were in each season before that season. So just pick wisely :)

Really?! I watched Nicaragua when it premiered after BB and followed it and One World which was the last one. I enjoyed both, loved NaOnka and Brenda in Nicaragua. I'll be watching and following Phillipines.

Nicaragua was pretty good, but after na onka left it was just dull.
I would recommend Gabon, had a lot of my favorite characters; Crystal and Kenny were one of my favourite alliances :blush2:

I'm not that much of a hardcore fan, just all BBs were off season and those two were on at the time, hopefully after all BB and this new survivor dies off I can go back and watch some older ones, although I probably won't like any pre-2005 ones.

I went on a real marathon earlier this year looking through most of The Amazing Race, Survivor and The Mole.

I find Survivor quite patchy with the casts chosen but I managed to finish a reasonable number of them. Cooke Islands is quite satisfying, reasonable drama and certainly happy enough with those left at the end. For pure excitement Heroes and Villains(an all stars edition) is probably the best, though I didn't like the winner.

It's very simple.

Win immunity you're safe from Tribal Council. If there is only one tribe left. The tribe plays for individual immunity. If there is more than one tribe left. The two-4 tribes play until 1 tribe doesn't have immunity. (Barring a double. Sometimes they have the tribes play for individual immunity if there is two tribes)

Red tribe gets no airtime but it just says a lot about the future. More often than not the more complex tribe has the winner on it, but in a season with three tribes if you get no airtime it's the kiss of death.

I just finished the latest ep. I thought it was good. Roxy deserved to go for that not drinking enough water before going to a challenge, where did she think she was going :conf2:

And there feels like there are too many people, or actually I wish there was another hour or so of footage broadcast in a extra show, that way it would be easier to get to know the tribe members.

It's a shame the blues lost another challenge.

I just caught up with episode 2, both Angie and Roxy are useless, but at least with Roxy she was one of them extreme Christians that are always funny to watch. Shame rather Angie went. I like Russell yelling at them all, everything he said was correct.

I can't think of a time when Christianity was ever portrayed in a good light on Survivor... or Big Brother for that matter. Even when Dan prayed in Season 10 they played the cheesy music alongside it. Something tells me the head of CBS was touched by a priest or something.

Thing is, on survivor the contestants seem to think that being put on some small island somewhere in the middle of the ocean makes them somehow closer to God and gives them sort of connection which helps them through the experience.

I don't know much about religion but I'm pretty sure god wasn't chilling on a beach in the Philippines.

"No, I did great in the challenge! Actually, in the end, the reason we lost is because Penner spelled the last word wrong. He's standing there cheering and jumping by himself and I look at the puzzle and 'another' is spelled wrong. That's when you saw me push him out of the way and rearrange the letters so it would be spelled correctly and that's when Tandang won. If he had spelled that word correctly, we would not have gone to Tribal Council."

Casting seriously dropped the ball by casting Carter. I've never seen someone on RTV so lacking in charisma and genuinely draining the show's energy by just existing.

Was just starting to like Katie slightly. :( ah well.

I don't totally believe Katie there, Penner has been good in challenges whereas some others in his tribe have definitely lacked. Jeff has struggled a lot more than Penner too, I remember Penner smashed through a rope in a challenge when Jeff was struggling.

Loved Penner outwitting his tribe members and Probst at the tribal council. They tried to flush out the idol but he outplayed them.

I sortof agree. Thing is I think it's actually think a pretty decent cast on the Matsing and Tandang tribes but Kalabaw is one of the most bland tribes the show's had in a while (with the exception of the deity that is Dawson) and that tribe just seems to suck the energy out and given that Kalabaw's all they've focused on for the last 2 episodes it does feel a bit dry as a season at the moment.

Still liking Penner, makes it worth watching for now. Even if he doesn't last longer he's outplayed the idiot Jeff. He tried to get him to play the idol last week, and hoped he wouldn't play it this week. He failed both times. And why Jeff thinks Penner is a favourite to win I don't know, if all the newbies don't want him to win he won't win as they go on the jury. Jeff the idiot playing it into the hands of the other tribe.

I like tribals where an idol is played and we hear Probst saying 'vote does not count' a lot. :D Would have certainly been more brilliant and more of a blindside had Pete gone though. Jeff got played like a fiddle voting for someone who could have been more of an ally to him.

hahaha Jeff not playing it well like I've said. The douche thought he had everything under control, the sweetest elimination. Malcolm too was blindsided. What a sore loser Jeff is lol.

The haters will hate Penner being there but I love it. Someone who is supposedly the biggest threat to win the game even though he had never won individual immunity before today and none of them would vote for him to win in the jury anyway. Surprised Penner didn't go after Jeff as well really.

Never underestimate the stupidy of people on Survivor. And those who are good at the game (like Russell) get hated lol. Lisa gave Pete that information and the idiot just told Malcolm. Although it's true people like Pete, Abi and Artis are hated, I'm not sure Jeff was liked as much as he thought either. Abbi was stupid showing she had the idol but it's hard for people to make plans on the fly about voting her out, and she could have handed it to Pete in theory. Doesn't help her position in the game in the long run though, Malcolm is a target as well though. In face this might help Penner as he no longer has an idol and there should really be other bigger fish to fry.

I feel like this season finally came to life with that tribal. I'm not sure I have any fave in the show left, nonetheless it was the best ep so far. The immunity challenge was good with Penner winning, and for once in the show, it really felt like no one really knew who was going to go.

I thought Jeff was a good choice in the end, he seemed like he could win it.

Found it odd how Lisa was given such a big part in tonights show to flip, and when someone does flip it's not even her. Then next week it'll be the same with her questioning whether she should flip but they already have the numbers. It's funny she going on about the dilemma of the game and the personal. She says she's been a friend to Penner for several episodes but she's always stabbed him in the back.

Once Penner is gone (he's made the season for me) I might even support Abi, if still there, just for the laugh. And she wasn't speaking quietly in any of this episode so I could understand all she said. :D
