Idiot parents.

This is the dramatic moment a foolish couple decided it would be a good idea to freak out their child by putting him in a washing machine.

It starts off like any average scene at a Laundromat, with a few clusters of people sorting out their laundry into machines.

A sign in the left hand corner of the frame reads ‘Junior wash $2.95’. But it was not supposed to be taken quite so literally.

An auto-lock on the door causes their prank to backfire majorly and as their epic fail dawns on them the couple frantically tug at the machine’s door in a desperate bid to free their child.

What appears to be a maintenance man strolls over looking at the couple as their panic intensifies, before wandering off again, waving a hand unhelpfully.

The mother runs out to where she can be seen by others further down the hall, putting her hands over her face and apparently calling out for help.

The dad then sprints off toward the other people while the mother continues to tug at the door handle, before running after him a short time later.

Ah righty.... good point.... an emergency stop button. Such a simple thing - actually, the more I think about it, that's a top notch idea.

Well seeing such a good idea comes from a woman.

You think a baby being trapped in a rotating washing machine - and a worker in the place not giving a sh*t - is funny?

Deary me.

I just can't get over how scary it is to see the machine start rotating with the child in it. I hope the hot water hadn't started pouring in!?

Finding the absurdity of something funny, doesn't mean you condone it.

Doesn't sound much like it to me....I really shouldn't be surprised though that some find it amusing.

Thank you, it's more "I can't believe they were so stupid" funny than "how excellent, must try that myself sometime" funny

Hey, each to their own MTVN, if that appeals to your humour. It's not a crime for you to think it's funny. Just like it's not a crime that I think it's an odd thing to find amusing.

washing machines generally take a while before they start spinning, i think it was just filling up with water at that point, no spinning involved. You might be thinking of a dryer.

Whenever I hear someone say "Unless you're a parent yourself, you can't understand", intimating that pushing out a kid somehow makes you all-knowing and wise, I remember stories like this. I've never had a kid... I've also never put one in a washing mashing, beat one, starved one etc. etc. etc.

LOL... made myself laugh when I read it back.

Next time my neices are visiting and my house goes from a sanctuary of quiet to a MASSIVE WALL OF NOISE maybe I'll see if it's possible to get all three of them in.

Just kidding of course...
