Theory of when Launch Night could be

So i got bored yesterday and decided to do some research on when Big Brother could infact be launching.

So i looked at the listings for Thursday 7th June 2012, and saw that there is multiple time slots empty.

9pm up until 11pm are empty giving way for a two hour Launch Show. 11pm-12am is also free giving space for Big Brother's Bit On The Side.

So:

9pm: Big Brother: Live Launch
11pm: Big Brother's Bit On The Side

However! Marcus tweeted that it wasn't the 7th, unless that was just a put off. So i did further research.

Again, 9pm-11pm is free giving space for a two hour Launch. But there is also a 8pm-10pm slot free. If this is used, 10pm is free on 5* for a hour maybe giving space for a broadcast of Live From The House at 10pm, and then back to Channel 5 for BBBOTS at 11pm, so something like this:

8pm: Big Brother: Live Launch
10pm: Big Brother: Live From The House
11pm: Big Brother's Bit On The Side

Does that make sense to you all?

Or, instead of the Friday night being 8pm and followed by Live Feed, have the same schedule as the Thursday night idea.

I would love the idea of an hour of live feed straight after the launch! 8pm is a bit early for the launch though isnt it? Wont is clash with the soaps? :dance:

Two hours is too long for a launch show if you ask me. And with starting at 8pm always comes the annoyance of pre-watershed censorship.

I'd opt for 8:30 - 10:00, an hour of live feed on 5* and then Bit On The Side from 11:00 - 12:00.

Marcus is recording another promo on Thursday so we'll probably find out at the end of next week.

Im sure the wildcard twist wont happen on the night.

Last time they did it they opened the phonelines for a week so we can judge what housemate would be best to go in and who they would rile up.

Like Josh from BB2. He was voted in for the Brian romance but they ended up hating each other.

Like i said they are probably just keeping the launch date secret so other channels cant put on something thats gonna steal their viewing figures.

I hope they do the wildcard twist for the first week anyway and then leave the 1st eviction till the second week.

Would fit with the latest launch yet except last year thing as only BB1 launched later than June 9th not including BB12. If there was any date earlier than BB11's on the consideration list it was probably the 6th and I doubt they'd consider the 6th but not the 7th since moving from Wednesday to Thursday if there's too much competition makes more sense than moving earlier.

15th August is the most likely date according to The Daily Mail, so if the series is 9 and a half weeks like Marcus says and the CBB date doesn't change it should start on June 10th like I said.

There's football at 7.45 every evening from 8th-19th June. That's why I think it will launch earlier with the HL shows scheduled at 10pm.

1st - A Friday, already scheduled
2nd - A Saturday. The Voice Final
3rd - The Apprentice Final for two hours
4th - A bank holiday
5th - A bank holiday
7th - Not recorded, so not one of their first five choices
8th - A Friday
9th - A Saturday

It's either the 6th or the 10th. The 6th makes more sense than the 10th being a Wednesday and being before the football but if Thursday wasn't one of the alternative dates they recorded, they obviously don't care about the football or if they start mid week again or not.

The planning permission on the production portacabins expires on August 14th 2012 and the 2 year extension won't be decided until 25th June. CBB will come under that extension but normal BB will have to come under the current planning permission if they are not to be presumptious about the extension being granted. The August 15th CBB launch date (from The Daily Mail) that Sid mentioned would fit neatly into that scenario.

So working from that August 14th (a Tuesday) is the latest possible date for the BB 2012 final. Work backwards from that for the latest launch date.
