View Full Version : Official lyrics videos
Does anyone else really appreciate these? I don't know why people didn't think to do this sooner with the advent of YouTube, but it's great. So many artists have quite poor diction so you can't really tell what they're singing a lot of the time - it clears up so many misconceptions and misheard lyrics. Plus I've seen some really cool lyrics videos. I can't think of a single downside to them - brilliant idea, music industry.

I can never be arsed to actually read the lyrics, if im watching one, just to listen to the song, i normally just open a new tab + do something else

in my day they printed all of the lyrics in the album sleeve http://www.thewatchforum.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/default/oldman.gif
I remember when that was a thing... except most CDs I bought never seemed to have them!

Lyrics videos?
Like, usually on the artist's VEVO page, put up a couple of days before the music video's released, flashy text etc. It's just so obvious, surprised it's only really become a thing in the last year or so. Fans make lyric videos all the time so it's nice to get official ones with the proper words.

I try and avoid vevo if I can, most people I listen don't have one anyway

I really like them, I think they're a good idea.
Katy Perry debuted one for her new single Wide Awake today and it's one of the best lyrics videos I've seen. Very creative.

I like them but I rarely watch them. They're very well made though and make it easy to learn the lyrics.
Yeah I really like the Wide Awake one!
