Depends how literally you take Marcus's assertion that this will be the latest start to a BB apart from last year (and BB1). BB11 launched on June 9th.

They obviously dont even know themselves when launch is, they released the eye way to soon and now everything has just died down.

2011: Eye launched 23rd July; series launch 18th August. 26 days.

2012: Eye launched 8th May; series launch ??? (26 days would be 3rd June but it won't be launched by then).

I think we'll get the start date on Friday, interviews from the barbeque in the press over the weekend or in next week's magazines and house pics next weekend or first part of the week after.

Even if the start date is the 10th (the latest I'm expecting it to be is the 11th, unless they released the eye and the adverts very early) we should know everything within two weeks (if it's the 6th, we'll be one day away from launch two weeks from now).

I don't think we're really off schedule regarding the date though. Isn't it usually the case that the date's only confirmed when the two week schedules are released on a Wednesday? In which case it's either tomorrow or next week or any time in between that we should know (not too clued up yet on how far we are away from the planned dates etc).

All programme start dates, apart from sports are only confirmed two Wednesdays before the week they start. Though a provisional date is usually released for most shows three Fridays before, which will be this Friday. I believe Channel 4 used to leave it till the final schedules (which would be next Wednesday) before revealing BB details but I don't think Channel 5 did that last year, hence why the billboard dates were wrong (because Channel 4 took advantage of the date being announced earlier than they used to announce it to put something big for them on against it just to sabotage it).

A date has been decided, it's just not been released yet, the schedules for that week come out on Friday. It wasn't released last year until 15 days before, which would be next week if they were to do the same this year, it isn't late (the provisional date, the 17th, was leaked by people who did the advert and on the billboards, it wasn't confirmed till it changed to the 18th on the 3rd).
