I listened to it earlier, it really is terrible. There was so much autotune that it didn't even sound like Alex anymore, it could've easily been someone else singing it.

Alex Reid has premiered his debut single 'Stardust' ... and then removed it from YouTube because of the bad reception.

The new track was uploaded to the popular video site earlier today (May 22), but rapidly received far more Dislikes than Likes.

The single is available to pre-order from June 1, and will be released through Ministry of Pop. Billed as "an up-tempo summer anthem that'll make you all feel good", it has been confirmed that Alex's fiance Chantelle Houghton is the inspiration behind it.

Packed with soft, heavily edited vocals and generically simple melodies, we can see why 'Stardust' was hastily taken down.


He is now saying "it was a bit of fun".
