Poll coming..... wait for it!!
Do you lie about how much alcohol you consume - lie to yourself, to friends, family and anyone else that you may discuss the subject with.
Do you even say you DON'T drink... when you do - even now and again? Are you truthful about it?
I tend to go through spells: of not having anything for weeks (mostly due to work) then I'll go through spells of having a drink at the weekend or very, very occasionally, midweek - but never spirits.
Depends on what's going on: and when I'm on holiday: I probably get 'that light headed merry but still in control' - that very relaxed but not wanting to get drunk way about every other day, then back to normal when I get home. Mostly because travel figures much for me in my normal routine.

I don't drink to get drunk anymore. My hangovers have always been terrible. If they weren't so bad, I'd drink a lot more. Even being sober after a couple of pints pretty much means I'll wake up with a headache. Get drunk, and I'll feel ill for the whole day.

Ooops I meant yes lol thought it was do you lie about how much alcohol you drink
I stopped drinking alcohol years ago apart from the occasional Birthday, celebration or holiday drink, and that's usually just the one then. Water suits me fine as a thirst quencher. When I used to drink socially, never saw the need to lie about it though or even to go out of my way to talk about social drinking. Sometimes out for a drink I could get blotto, mostly I wouldn't though.
I haven't ticked an option as none fit, as I will probably only have about three single glasses of drink in a year now.

No reason to lie.
Normally get completed drunk once every couple of months or so. Recently anyway, it's hard when all my friends are away at uni most of the time.

No. I'll still be living with my parents for at least a good two years still (I changed my sixth form course) and they know where I go over the weekend and if I go out to drink it has to be with my friends, so there's no point in hiding anything.

I have to say, I'm the same. Getting super sparkled now - I suffer for about 2 days - it is so not worth it! :joker:
yet I recall when I was so much younger: I could be out on the serious lash and fully operate without problem after one or two hours sleep !
Aaahhhhhh......... old age creeping up! but I actually have more fun now - now that it's not all a drunken haze!
InOne: tbf: the first post does throw the poll off a wee bit... I should have worded it better- mind you the poll does have a heading that's self explanatory to a degree but the OP is a bit wooly...... Sorry!
I will punish myself accordingly. In fact, I may have a drink in the midday sunshine ..... :D
I used to drink alcohol morning, noon and night ..... well, mornings only at the weekend - now it's noon and night, but noons mostly at the weekend ..... :pipe:

I have it a few times a month with dinner or something.
Strictly Teetotal.
I used to drink every weekend but it gradually dwindled down to a glass of dinner wine every now and then and a drink at xmas/new year but now I don't bother with it at all, the hangovers leave me ill for days and thats enough to put me off.

None of the options really apply to me - I only get drunk about once a week, and it's rarely the weekend. Student nights
But I do sometimes have a cider or a glass of Pimms without the intention of getting drunk :p

I only ever have one if I'm forced into it, which is probably once or twice a year, but I don't drink, and never have
Never been drunk, either

Basically every few months, I really don't like getting drunk, plus its not worth the next day being ruined by a hangover

About twice a month I'd say usually, but as we get closer to July/August usually 2 or 3 times a week

To be honest, getting drunk has its advantages and disadvantages. I actually need alcohol or drugs to loosen me up a bit. It doesn't come by nature for me. I'm sociable and all that but I'm very stern and not that much of the smiling type so I need some drugs (legal or illegal) to help me relax. For me, all that beats just half a day feeling lethargic and all that. I think drugs are better, though, as you don't have to cope with a huge hangover. It just isn't the healthiest of options, but neither is alcohol.

:nono: Carry on drinking like that and you may never slip out of your intoxication. Although that may have already happened, as reflected in your posts... :p

I only drink alcohol when out socially with other Students or family and friends. Never to excess, just no more than an hour or so and a couple of drinks only.
I will have wine with a meal in or out,as in meal a dinner not just every meal.
The only time I setlle down with either Whiskey or Southern Comfort is on Zee's most loved poll results night on here.
Other than all that,I can easlly give alcohol a miss.

Erm, I barely drink, mainly because I'm the worst drunk ever. I need to remain sober, my dignity is at an all time low when I get drunk, every three/four months I'l get drunk.

I don't really drink, I don't like the taste of anything apart from Mickey Finn's but that doesn't count since it's basically pop.

Micky Finn is a beer and it is alcoholic - so you do drink alcohol but pretend that it's pop! :D
It's also the term for a drink that's spiked.

Now that is really some admission there Redway and I have to say: a pretty sad one if truth be told, but I do appreciate that you are still young and hell..... god knows: I tried most all things when I was younger / your age.
A time will come when you generate your own self confidence without the aid of such things....... well, I hope so anyway. It's a phase may of us go through tbf.

That's another 'I don't really drink'.... but.... well I do really... ... drink 'watered down cider' ...cider can be one of the most potent / strongest drinks out!

If it's brightly coloured then it's not proper alcohol :hmph:

Ah right. so all those lovely alcoholic cocktails that are brightly coloured are not proper cocktails then.... because the colour of the drink somehow negates the alcoholic content.
Denial Dezzy........ ! :D

Right now, I might have a bottle of blue wkd if I fancy one. I cant drink much with being pregnant but the midwife said a unit or two a week wont do any harm. I voted once a month, but it was meant to be a few times a month, just clicked too fast
Before I got pregnant I drank every weekend. I would probably be classed as a binge drinker then.
