There's none scheduled for the second Friday either. Though the schedules for the second Friday could change on Wednesday.

There will never again be live feed.... Why anyone thinks there would is beyond me, from a legal position it is impossible I think.

They think it, because Channel 5 confirmed there would be some on Fridays.

(Though as I said, there isn't any, unless there aren't any evictions the first two weeks)

I mean the station lawyers will be afraid of everyone having evidence of incidents they have no control of....

Think that was just what someone here read on a fan page, it said "some" red button, so it's probably just the one hour thing that I'm on about.

The One Hour Live Feed Thing is rumoured by the daily star, there technically might not be any live feed at all but then again marcus's script said other wise so right now have no idea why the direct from the house is not schedule at all :conf: Tell You What thought if there gonna start messing us about with LF im watching the olympics.

No, the one hour live feed was confirmed by Channel 5, but the red button thing's not been rumoured anywhere but here. I won't watch if they don't have the hour live feed either.

I read an article on Digital Spy last week saying that the one hour live feed was returning after evictions. :conf: So they've gone back on their word?

Looks like it, unless these aren't evictions.

"From a legal position" Channel 4 had at least some feed on all their regular BB shows.

It's just that Ofcom now require the broadcaster (rather than just the producers, as before) to compliance monitor everytrhing that goes out.

Channel 5 can't be bothered to do that. It's not a legal problem, it's a can't be bothered issue.

You say ''from a legal position'' it is impossible? Which legal position are you referring to?

The 'live' that we saw after evictions last year was contrived - the housemates often were more than aware that ''Oh, we're live just now aren't we''... and used that to whatever advantage they thought it may allow.... either to play up, or down - depending on the situ.

I may not wrong here: but even 'live' isn't ultimately live - there is still a very short delay in which they can still 'edit' (others may be able to clarify if that's the case or not).

Utterly ridiculous and pathetic.

On the red button issue - I originally thought the rumour had started here with that thread created by Chuff, but over on DS apparently someone/a few people saw the official Facebook page post a status about the 'red button', but it was quickly removed. They're now all speculating over whether it was uploaded and then deleted simply to get us all talking, in which case I think that's quite out of order.

I expect post-eviction feed will appear when the schedules are confirmed, because if it doesn't either they're just liars, or they are actually hiding something (unlikely).

Guess this is the problem with speculation: that's all it is: and everyone gets into all sorts of 'for/against' - whilst good for discussions etc, it could be nothing more than deliberate hype or complete nonsense.

We'll find out soon enough - but one thing I'd say was certain: ye olde live feed from years gone by will never be back. Shame, because that's when some of the best stuff was heard and seen - some incredibly interesting convos and laughs we now miss.

Hey ho.

Will be absolutely gutted if there no LF at all, can't get my head around why we are the only country not to have 24/7 LF, it really makes me angry.

Like most of us, I'm really quite mad at there being no live feed again. To me that's the point of the show, c'mon an edited 1 hour per night show hardly allows for us to see the personalities of those in the house.

I miss being able to randomly watch the most boring conversations or events ever on live feed, along with the unmissable laughs and conversations.

Anyway...so it's not true? That there is a one hour live feed on 5* after each show airs :(( Gutted, even that was better than nothing.

According to some people on DS the second week schedule has been confirmed and there's no sign of any live feed whatsoever.

In which case, as I said a few posts back - either they were lying or there's something else going on.

Yeah, the schedules have been confirmed today rather than Wednesday (bank holiday weekend next week) and there is now officially no streaming on 5* for the first 10 days. So either they've had to cancel it, there's no eviction till the third friday or they're doing it another way.

Possibly Red Button - because, you know there's so many people that would want to watch 5* and all it's brilliant and intriguing shows, that Big Brother Live should be pushed to the red button for an hour a day.

But I think that feature takes alot of effort to set up, and seeing as these mindless ******wits are under the impression their 'social media' thing took the country by storm and everyone loved it, I don't think they'd go to the effort of getting a red button set up for an hour every week.

Only conclusion I can come to is that they lied through their teeth, and that's when things become a problem - the fact they've actually blatantly lied to fans.

I don't understand this legal talk.:conf2: It was only two years ago when I was watching BB11 and UBB live feed every night on channel 4/E4.

It's definitely got to be a case of them either lying, or (as extremely unlikely as it is) them doing it another way/hiding something.

And surely they wouldn't put up a red button service for one hour a week? If that is actually the case, they can shove it - if you're going to go through all that trouble, why not have it on the rest of the week, 24/7? But I'm sure that won't happen anyway.

I'd like to say this is intriguing but the pessimist inside me says I just think they've let us down again.

I don't understand. They said there would be live feed (the DS article said nothing about it being there JUST for CBB). So either...

1. They were lying to us.
2. They weirdly changed their mind.
3. They are doing it some other way.

Obviously I want #3 to be true.

Patrick
29-05-2012, 09:48 PM
Yeah see I want to believe that they say something on launch about it returning and the red button just magically comes up - or something.
But that's literally like wishing for a miricale - because they never once even mentioned the live stream on the evictions or anything, until CBB9 when it was returning.
And I'm sorry, but when Brian mentioned 'Live from the House' - that got the biggest reaction from the crowd, than any of his other silly ******ing one liners, or any housemate reception, or silly twist announcement over the course of the past 3 Series.

But it's wishful thinking, it's so unlikely that they'll magically surprise us all with live feed - they're ignorant bastards who couldn't even put up a billboard for the Summer series when they did it for CBB9, this is just another biased decision like that.

Too much work I think, have you seen the state of their site? I know they said they'd revamp it - but they probably just mean putting the FB App onto their main site.

It does say that: "Let the games begin!" but it's just a load of crappy gambling games. No BB relation.

This is an email someone on DS received from C5:

Thank you for your recent enquiry regarding Big Brother.

We do plan to transmit a live feed programme at certain times e.g. on eviction nights but no broadcast dates have been confirmed yet. We recommend keeping an eye on the television listings magazines or our website<http://www.channel5.com/shows/big-brother/> for updates.

Thank you for your interest in Channel 5.

Yours sincerely

Steven

So it seems, as some thought, that they're only going to provide live feed after twists/'big' events, as and when they see fit.

Even so, this still means they lied, as they stated in the press release that live feed would follow every eviction.
