:amazed:

Not quite sure if I've quite warmed to Sheridan Smith yet cos it's hard to shake off the Two Pints image. It would be great if they got Caroline Quentin back too, loved when she was in it.

Yay! I've been wondering when this would be back, it's been years! I love Sheridan Smith, I hope she comes back.

I like Sheridan Smith, good actress. But she doesn't quite fit this show for me. She's too young to be an adequate match for JC. I wish they'd just ask Caroline Quentin back.

Was there a reason she left? I heard she didn't get on with the writers too well or something, and Maddy practically vanished

I'm sure she stopped acting for a few years to have her children and stay at home with them or something. I remember there being some kind of reason, and a script had to be rewritten to include Julia Whatsherface.

Edit - I hope the magician isn't in the new one, he irritates me now. lol

Ahh yeah that was it, the kids thing. I think they were expecting her to be in it and she suddenly said no. I guess there's time though, it's ages until xmas, and I don't know when they start filming, but seen as Creek has a massive fanbase hopefully she'll be more tempted this time.

I can't remember the last time I saw her on TV, so fingers crossed.
Feel like watching an old episode now. lol

Did they used to repeat them on Dave or something? Although might've been GOLD

Yeah, I think so. They were on last summer IIRC.
Regardless of who's in it though, I really hope the new one is better than the last one. It was definitely the weakest.

I agree, definitely need a good storyline that shocks us all!

The one with the woman who was thrown out of the window. Can't remember many details but it wasn't the usual standard.

Edit - Found it. It was this one: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Judas_Tree_(Jonathan_Creek)

There won't be a new Jonathan Creek for Cristmas and we are not filming in September. If we do start making a new one I will let you know.
