horrible history's bbc1 9am 1.6.12

its so great,
a truly wonderful act,
enjoyment while learning,
and getting the fact.
i wish i had that,
my history was so boring,
fact after fact in a monotone voice,
did leave me snoring.
to get kids to laugh,
then history they will enjoy,
horrible will never go down,
it is ingenious and we must employ.
well done to the producer,
my poem is praise and has no mystery,
credit where credit is due,
you are fantastic horrible history.

did anyone see 2 of the cast on the news this morning ? did they make you laugh ? have they got the best way to teach history ? dont let me sway you but i think they are FANTASTIC and i love it. but what do you think ?

My young Nephews and Nieces love the series so I think probably yes, I myselfl don't necessarily think the programmes are great but it does cover history quite well.

My young brother watches that series and loves it. I personally don't think they have the right balance of humour and seriousness, but it does cover the curriculum quite well.

Pre-WARNING: Massive fangirl here.

It is one of my fave programs and a great sellection of actors. It has to be one of the best programs on the CBBC and I do love the comedy linked in with the serious history elements to it. More people should watch it - it is not just a kids show, adults can enjoy it too. The acting and the songs are flawless. Plus I follow all of the HH guys on Twitter. LUV it!

If you have not watched it before the boxset is out Monday.

I've watched it a couple of times when my niece/brother have watched and it's really not that bad. Obviously the humour's a bit kitsch and childish for adults but if it's educating people about history whilst keeping them entertained and interested then it can only be a good thing

I used to love the books when I was little.
