Aaron won't be on BBOTS
Aaron Aslan Allard
To all my friends, family and fans who have supported me through the past year, I want to once again express my gratitude to you all.
It's with a heavy heart that I have decided to end my work association with Big Brother. Therefore I'll not be on BBOTS this summer. This has not been an easy decision to make, but recent events have left a very sour taste in my mouth.
I have loved being your champion, but it's time for another 14 innocent lives to be toyed with.
I will be appearing on the Wright Stuff this Monday where I will express my gratitude once again, but for now my poppets, it's goodnight from me.xx
I wonder what has happened to make him change his mind?
By the way hope you don't mind sid.
Locke.

Don't think they'd want him on it anyway, Anton and Jay will of course be their first choices.

No this is the kind of winner I admire. He was on Big Brother, enjoyed the experience and went back to normal life. He's not hanging around for the scraps of TV work which is embarrassing and degrading. He was a normal guy who did it for the cash, just as anyone else would do. I admire him for putting the money to good use and opening a business and ultimately shows that this guy has a brain and isn't your average BB contestant - which is basically why I liked the guy and wanted him to win. It proves the Big Brother can still cast and generate normal people/winners.
It's not a diss to his fans to not appear on BBOTS, the guy has reached his Big Brother prime and will remain a Big Brother legend and won't ruin that with degrading stints on two-a-penny spin off shows (which is what victor has done)

Not exactly suprising, always had the impression he thought he was above the show even when he was in there.

Thinking you're above BOTS isn't really the same thing. It's so terrible it almost makes the main show look classy.

Practically every episode it was a slagfest about Aaron.
Obviously not that big of a deal, but it certainly would put you off returning.
Though he did do some sketches during CBB BOTS, so it's probably something we don't know about that's happened in between.

Do people forget what Peter burns said to him when he won and the nasty remark by that stupid woman Nicola !cant even remember her surname, said about him being a wife beater, what sane person would want to appear on a show that constantly slagged them off and TRIED to turn the public against him, fair play to Aaron for not wanting to appear on this two bit show, but I am not surprised he won't go on it as he IS far better than they are and made of stronger stuff, morals over money.Nice one Aaron.
Marsh.

Not surprised. It's probably only in the last few months he's gone back and seen some of the stuff they said about him. Not just one off comments but pretty much relentless hate.

Why? It didn't really happen for any of the other housemates to that extent, and rarely has it in the past.
And I don't think he regrets going on, he says he's proud to have won, he's just done with it now.

I remember both those nights to what Nicola & Pete said, I was so so angry, it's really put me off Pete a few things he was saying about other HM's as well last year.

Great post, this is a good move by Aaron. It actually makes me sad seeing former housemates who were brilliant housemates in their own right making countless appearances on BOTS, it shows how desperate they are. It's like they have no dignity.

As long as we get Queen Faye, I'm not fussed, I'm happy, I'd rather he not show up at all, then show up and be made a twat of.
He's to good for Big Brother we don't deserve his lordly presence on our TV screens

Been posted about 3 times already, and I've said - he's a legend. He's doing what the real good housemates have done in the past [BB6 Cast, Kate Lawler, Some BB7/BB9 HMs, Marco Sabba, Jason Cowan etc etc] and separate themselves from the show and it's silly spin offs.
Fair play.
He'll forever be a Big Brother Legend and a Lord to us. It doesn't matter. I'd rather have a memory of the guy, as being a King in a house full of morons and coming out the winner against all odds. Rather than have him dancing in a Hot Dog Suit or a Mankini on Bit on the Side.

Err no.
Would have been nice to see last years winner "Aaron" taking a stint on BBBOTS. But ahh well. Just hope we don't get Josie.

A stint on a spin off show is not fame hungry. Rachel Rice is one of the least fame hungry people and she still had a stint on last years show. I just like it when a housemate just pops back and gives there say on the next series of BB. It's nice to hear from people who are not particularly fame hungry.
Would love to see Rachel Rice back. Of course we need the legends back but also someone who is more normal and polite like Rachel would be nice.
Are Aaron and Faye still together?

:joker:Nice one Novo.
Personally I am a bit disappointed he won't be making any appearances on bbbots but although he was massively popular al through the series with the voting public, it likely took its toll on him with the twists and turns and negative publicity with Faye etc, which has been shown to be all wrong anyway as they are as close as ever it seems.
He likely wouldn't want any more dissection and further publicity around all that again.
It is Pete Burns who I would like to see not on as much as to this programme and also even more so the awful Lauren Harries.
Jesus.

It's a mixed decision. On one hand, he should have faced everyone again and been the bigger man, but on the other, I can understand his reasons for steering well clear of the mongfest that is BBOTS.
Unfortunately, what will happen now, is repeated HM's from lst year will be dragged out to lie and attack him some more, which will just feed into the frenzy of the audience.
If ever there was an example of "damned if you do, damned if you don't," then this is it.
There will be constant jabs about him and his so-called "gameplaying" and guests will also be lined up to compare Aaron to a range of people, from wife-beaters to Machiavelli.
