...Would you visit the offender? No, I don't mean on a street for a punch up, but perhaps as a prison interview to understand the person's logic and reasoning and why they did it?

Sure. Sounds more interesting than your average morning of telly and face stuffing. I'm all for those odd little touches and things that stop life from slipping into tedious mediocrity and that is one of them.

I'd consider it, it would depend on the crime but I think I would most likely not dismiss the idea totally.

depends how emotionally altering the crime is, I suppose. If it were a robbery I'd probably be uninterested, but if they'd killed my sister I'd consider it.

I was the victim of a crime and the only way I'd want to meet those responsible is if they were on a slab with a tag on their toe.

It would depend on the crime for me, really, as Shaun mentioned. But I can definitely see myself going to see whoever did what crime.
