BEYOND: Two Souls - Possibly coming to PS4

Official PlayStation Magazine has outed Quantic Dream’s Beyond, which is set for a showing during Sony’s E3 press conference this evening.

According to a tweet from the magazine’s editor: “I saw Beyond back in February. It looks incredible. A massive step up from Heavy Rain. Two HUGE A-listers in the lead roles. Will steal E3.”

Insight Factors claims to have a the first image of the game here, which contains the subtitle Two Souls. The image also states the female lead will be played by Ellen Page. There are also supposed screenshots through the link there as well.

Rumors have the game as being titled Beyond, and that it’s a narrative-based affair like Heavy Rain and other Quantic titles before it.

Its been rumored since last week that the next project from the firm will be unveiled at the presser. Previously, the title in question was thought to be the previously-canceled Infraworld, which is rumored to be back in development.

Source familiar with title says that Beyond: Two Souls will feature the Spider-Man star

An exceptional showing at E3 this year has many clamoring for more information regarding Heavy Rain developer Quantic Dream and their next title, Beyond. While the trailer gave gamers a glimpse at Ellen Page starring in the lead role of Jodie Holmes, a source familiar with the project has indicated that more stars are on the way, particularly Boondock Saints' Willem Dafoe.

Besides starring in Boondock Saints, Willem Dafoe's storied career has put him in big titles such as Spider-Man, Finding Nemo, Platoon and Clear and Present Danger. His new role has yet to be revealed, but our source has confirmed that news will be forthcoming.

This is not Dafoe's first foray into gaming; he played his part as The Green Goblin/Norman Osborn as well as playing the main antagonist in 2003's James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing title for the PS2, Xbox and Gamecube.

I'm really excited about this. I'll probably spend a lot of Thursday on it. I've heard it's pretty short but it's got a lot of replayability.

Can remember Heavy Rain getting mixed also..Some saying it was boring and bland and others saying it was a masterpiece..I loved HR so i can see myself liking this

If you like Heavy Rain you'll like Beyond, you don't get as much freedom to control the story though so far.

Quantic Dream’s Beyond: Two Souls has been listed for PlayStation 4 on two German retailers (via Google translation).
