Pakistan's Supreme Court has sent a fact-finding mission to a remote northern area to establish if four women have been killed, following reports that they had been sentenced to death by a local tribal council or Jirga.

It has been reported that the women, along with two men, were condemned when video footage showed them singing and dancing at a wedding.

Local officials told the court they had been unable to contact the women, despite several attempts, as the BBC's Orla Guerin reports.

Blimey, I hope this is not true .....

Does anyone else find it hilarious how confused the Pakistani's are? One minute they are screaming about how a NATO drone strike hits a wedding, and then when they see a video of what actually goes on a wedding, they call for the death of everyone at the wedding for dancing?? WTF.

It appears that you are making rash and generalised assertions from not having read or understood the article either fully or correctly ..... :idc:
