Voters seem to back more controversial HMs now

For the last few years the more unlikable/villains/ annoying/game playing / caustically witty HM have gained in popularity, unthinkable in first couple of series eg bb9 rex bb10 marcus and freddie bb 11 ben john james bb12 Aaron Harry.

And last year the first anti hero /overt game playing winner in Aaron. Now Lydia and Chris are not universally hated and have bigger fan bases than some 'nicer' HM. Do you think this change has erupted due to vote to save era?

Hm, I disagree unfortunately. The forums have largely always backed the right people (i.e. the big characters), it's just the vote to evict on C4 that meant we weren't able to crown the rightful winners, save the right people etc as it simply wasn't achievable while everyone else was in control.

It changed last year, the series wasn't as popular and the forums could control the vote...that's why Aaron won IMO. And rightly so.

Still not sure about this year - I think as I said Lydia, Chris and the other big characters will have widespread forum support, but will be lacking support with the rest of the viewers, sadly. I expect this to be reflected in the forthcoming evictions, as sad as it is.

Nope down to been allowed to speak about voting and been smart to enough to play the game which Lydia is smart about while Chris wasn't.

I wouldn't call any of them witty, but i definitely agree with the annoying/unlikeable/villain part. Describes last years winner to a T.

No don't get me wrong i wanted aaron to win last year but he played a game but he had some excellent - sometimes bitchy - one liners.
He said on day 1 he was game playing and deliberately did unlikeable
things like strop and grumble for air time. This years lot ie lydia chris becky and arron have definitely learnt the unlikability = air time = votes to save = staying in lesson from Aaron last year.
