Back in BB7 I remember BB coverage in Heat magazine (every week evicted HM had the front cover), The news of the world had a Middle section about 20 pages deciated for BB. Evicted HM's would appear on Richard and Judy or other shows. Even Nikki got her own show on E4 and won Best Reality star at British tv awards.

Even as far back as BB10 you should see the media interest go down for BB. I just wonder since moving to C5 (not a massive station in Britain) and only the Daily star shown any interested. For most Fame Hungry Wannabe's is BB even worth doing these days and would you collect as much money.

No not at all.

Theres absolutley no fame to be earned from BB now.

Jaylou did ok with their OK! and NEW magazine deals but they dried up fast.

I think it's kind of better that they don't get fame out of it.

I got a job offer from a local call centre on the strength of being a failed wildcard. Not exactly Hollywood, but let's be grateful for small mercies. ;)

It would take a certain kind of person [someone like myself] to go in there, and be a complete character - to the point where word would just spread about you and media attention would land on you, abit like Jade had in 2002 or Nikki in 2006.

However, if they were that desperate for fame.. they'd be aswell moving to Brentwood and shagging a member of TOWIE in an attempt to get on that. Sad truth.

Hopefully the show will go full circle and the fame hungry media *****s that have infested the show for the last few years will sod off and we might get back to having real people instead of desperados who want to be famous for doing nothing.

Being on Big Brother will get you nowhere, yeah, you will be famous to 1.5 million people for 3 months, bar that, zilch.

I'm glad we can get rid of the Fame *****s cause they did ruin the last 4 BB's on C4.

Ashleigh and Lydia are the only two i see that could get a vibe off that want to get the mag deals.

No no no way. Back in the days BB was absolutely huge. Everyone knew the housemates, they were on the front page of everything. Nowadays a lot of people don't even know Big Brother is still on...

The fame hungry won't get the fame they want but that's good. I would like the show to back to its root but I don't think it's possible on C5. If we judge on the looks of the people in the house, they're almost from one mold.

I think stunning Deana will do well she will appeal to both UK and Indian media.

Although Becky is not going to end up in Nuts and Zoo, I do think she will take away 'bubbly large girl' gigs from Josie BB11 and be Jodie Prenger 2012

It's been about fame hungry *****s from the beginning. Anyone who responds to the casting calls is obviously fame hungry, but so what? all people want acknowledgement and attention, it's not wrong.

All healthy human beings like attention.

Serco call centre in St Mary Street. They have a fairly steady intake, though I should warn you that one of their employees advised me to look for work in Hell before considering a job there ... ;)
