View Full Version : Do you want another 'gameplayer' to win?
Aaron was loved here by so many fans last year for 'playing the game' so well that he was worshipped and went on to win. Previous to that, 'gameplayer' was a dirty word for many and we wanted people to win for being 'real' and true to themselves. Have we now entered a new era where the winner should be the best at manipulating the viewer into giving them the crown? Or do you prefer the traditional route to the top?

The most entertaining should win imo so stick with the new way I say.

The most entertaining could be either a gameplayer or a genuine person though.

Good thread op.
I think C5 BB is a different beast to C4 BB. I think C5's is more of a game show now that they let them speak about noms. If the HM is entertaining i don't mind if their a gameplayer as long as they play within the rules.

Yes, and it should have always been that way, if not the game player the most controversial/entertaining housemate. That's just logical.
Makosi should've won BB6 for example, John James/Sam BB11 and there's numerous others. Whoever offers the most and creates the most discussion should be the person that wins, that is what makes the most sense, anything else seems utterly illogical to me, especially choosing winners that have offered **** all.
So yes, absolutely. I guess so far in this series it'd be anyone of Chris, Lydia or Arron.

I don't think Aaron was so well liked merely because he was a "game player", I think many were annoyed that Big Brother were trying their hardest to stitch him up at every opportunity...
Besides many were accusing him of being a game player with Faye & said he was using her, well they are still together now... :xyxwave:
I don't like people because they are game players, I like them based on their personality...

Yep. I think Nikki should have won just for being herself, and Victor for being an entertaining gameplayer. I don't think the majority would agree on someone like John James, though - who wants an obnoxious twat to win?
I think the winner always has to be entertaining AND likeable, in the end.
I think Aaron got the female vote because he played the lost little boy/eccentic/hard done by/misunderstood role to the hilt. It was an unique approach and he had the ladies in the palm of his hand, with the help of 'bad editing' paranoia.
I mainly prefer a 'real' winner. Someone funny, entertaining, warm AND likeable but with an added 'ommph!!! (not a Josie or a Sophie!!!) I ask a lot, I know!

People have been arguing since "day dot"...as to who has a game plan, who is the biggest game player et al. At the end of the day, you must have a pretty competitive nature to even make it on the show, auditions, shorts lists etc.. So, whether it's a planned out process - or not, you have some thoughts as to how you will be perceived and alter your behaviour accordingly - it's human nature. I believe you'd have to have an IQ of 60..or something, and be completely clueless and oblivious to public perceptions, to have no plan whatsoever. Everyone's a game player, it's just to varying degrees.

Yes, I would be happy for a game player to win. I'm bored with people winning the show because they are nice.

No. I'm tired of gameplayers.
They're usually fairly obvious anyway which makes them more irritating rather than entertaining.
want some gameplayers leaving in for a while for possible entertainment but then boot them out say at least a week before the end and let a housemate with the best heart or personality win again, that would be the best way for me.

it seems to me that they're all gameplayers of one type or another, the days of innocent social experiments are long long gone.

Aaron game played as far as messing with the housemates in the house (Rebeckah, Anton, Jay and Louise in the final week). He never did anything to try to win the viewer over; moaning as much as he did in the second half of the series and causing as much controversy as he did to be up for eviction every other week would be the most hopeless tactic possible.
I don't really care if the winner is a game play or not, it's how entertaining they've been that matters. I reckon a game play has slightly more potential to be entertaining though.
