The 4th season ended about 3 weeks ago in the States, but to my knowledge they're not broadcasting it over here anywhere :(

But if you are fond of all things online and slightly illegal then I'd heartily recommend watching this from the beginning.

The premise is quite similar to the Office: a bit of a mock-documentary that follows the goings-on of a parks department in a fictional town in Virginia called Pawnee. The main character is Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler), who starts out as a deputy head of the department. There's a whole host of memes and cult followings though of Ron Swanson (Nick Offerman). Also stars Rob Lowe, Aubrey Plaza, Aziz Ansari, Adam Scott and more... has had (regular) guest appearances played by Megan Mullally (Karen, Will & Grace), Andy Samberg, Paul Rudd, Parker Posy, Will Arnett, Louis C.K., Pamela Reed... only just noticed today that the first season is being broadcast on BBC4, and the first four episodes are now on iPlayer if anyone wants to catch up. I really recommend it, it's a warm, sweet and often silly comedy and the characters are awesome. Think the UK version of the Office, or Modern Family.

Watched the first four episodes which were quite poor, but I liked Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler and Ron Swanson (Nick Offerman) so I d/l'd Season 2, which is getting considerably better as it progresses, with excellent performances from Tom Haverford (Aziz Ansari) and April Ludgate (Aubrey Plaza), but I can't see the point of including Ann Perkins (as played by the appalling Rashida Jones) and therefore Andy Dwyer (Chris Pratt). Good support from Jerry Gergich (Jim O'Heir), and Donna Meagle (Retta), though.

A pair of Parks And Recreation regulars are to exit midway through the next season, The Hollywood Reporter confirms.

Original cast member Rashida Jones, who plays Ann Perkins, and Rob Lowe, who joined in season two as Chris Traeger, are expected to depart after the 13th episode of season six, which should air in the US next February (2014).

On-screen, Jones and Lowe are an on-off couple and at the end of the last season their characters were exploring the possibility of starting a family together, which could provide a plotline for their departure.

Parks And Recreation is due to return for its sixth season on US network NBC on September 26. The season premiere will be an hour-long special set in London featuring guest appearances from Heidi Klum and Happy Days legend Henry Winkler.

The following month, Veronica Mars actress Kristen Bell will guest star as a "richer and better dressed" version of Amy Poehler's Pawnee city councilwoman Leslie Knope hailing from the rival town of Eagleton. In the same episode, Nick Offerman's Ron Swanson will face his Eagleton doppelganger.

this season is sooooo bad :bawling: the introduction of the dramatic gay guy (wow, innovative) is just about the worst casting of all time, and the removal of two of the three straight (wo)men has turned the show into 8 annoying OTT people

Not sure if anyone's started season seven yet but having finally caught up with 5 and 6 over Christmas I'm now able to watch this live. I was so taken aback by the twist at the end of the last season and was apprehensive as to whether it was a good move or not but the latest episode to air (S7, ep 4) may well be one of my favourites ever :love: and covers all the plot holes so cleverly in a way which feels so full circle
