I'm no supporter of the bailiff trade and as such I don't rate Chris highly as a person, but as a housemate he was fantastic (the best in there) and what he does in his personal life is completely irrelevant to his worth as a housemate, and it is totally illogical to use that as means to judge him as one.

a bailiff will take a 50 pound parking fine and put 300 on it for their commission!
people should pay what they owe but what if you cant afford to pay?
you get these scum on you that will come your home and take the few things you have got and sell them for peanuts,

he was nominated beacuse he was a big mouth cock we only wanted him there beacuse he was a cock and to make a bigger cock of him self not beacuse he was a great housemate.

I detest the profession of bailiff, it is one of the things I really didn't like as to Chris, only because he revealed it proudly in the house though himself.
I have seen bailiff/s take from people in front of their children, even electronic items the children were playing with as they were playing with them. From people who had temporarily got into bad times and had no funds hardly.

They would not listen and showed not an ounce of compassion,if they couldn't pay the amount in question they took near everything.
It's a profession I detest, there must be better ways of dealing with people on hard times.

However, I am not glad Chris has gone because he is a bailiff, he didn't entertain me while in the house, actually he was more entertaining and endearing outside the house on bbbots and in his interview.

I won't miss him at all really.

Caused arguments, drama, was a paranoid mess, stirred sh*t up, caused loads of discussion and debate (which is what determines whether you're a good housemate or not, because that's essential for BB to thrive) and contributed a lot to the first two weeks.

He's hardly been as dull as Benedict and Conor now has he?

The problem with Chris is that he picked fights with Becky, I mean she was the wildcard, that was such a bad idea and Shievonne was right 100% he should've kept it cute and mute.

That's true actually. We must remember that he is a scu* ba* debt collector who makes the lives of poor people a misery. However, I still dislike Arron even more, even though genuinely I like looking at his chest 2, and am fed up of how these votes are always so easy to predict on reality or talent shows, you know there are always going to be enough who put morals or bad behaviour by contestants aside to keep them in just cos they're fitter than the other

I doubt he is in any way pleasant when he does his 'bailiff' thing,I think some professions shouldn't be allowed to exist and being a bailiff is one of them.
He has bragged as to how he manipulates his way into peoples homes and then takes their goods. Nothing very nice about that at all in my opinion.

People shouldn't get into debt they cannot afford, that's true,if they haven't broken amy laws though they shouldn't live in fear of intimidation and threats from people like bailiffs, there must be better and more compromising ways to deal with people who cannot afford to pay for debts, especially because of illness hardship or a dramatic change of circumstances.

Bailiffs, don't listen, they just act, caring not one bit as to the embarrassment caused to the families they visit or respecting in any way the already likely lost dignity of the person who owes the debts.

The money that balifs add on to peoples bills is ridiculous they double and triple the original bill. For example we came to your house you were out so we add £100 on to your bill, so we send you a letter saying we called and you were out there you go another £50 added.
And when they confiscate goods the prices they claim for them are not fair £700 plasma TV, we'll take that and knock £100 of you're bill. The people would be better off taking their goods to Cash Converters.
Once the balifs have your name they will not go away just keep coming back and back and back and often illegally. I know someone who is being chased for a bill that they paid to the original place, but because the balifs have their name refuse to admit the bill is paid. It is kind of funny that about once a month they get the harrassing phone call, letter or whatever and everytime the "debt" goes up.

Don't for one minute think that Chris is the nice cheeky chap he was pretending to be. You saw the real person pop up every now and then.

this would be a good topic for another thread really, a lot of people are not aware of the actual limitations of Bailiffs powers, and they rely on that to intimidate people, they use a lot of scare tactics. I do think you have to be a certain type of person to do the job.

can you imagine him coming to your door and asking for money with that squeaky voice... I would just die laughing. he is about as scary as a 5 year old girl :)... did he say he was a doorman.... the bouncer type ? No I think he meant the type that open doors for visitors... a Commissionaire. :) :)

Have to agree I found Chris entertaining with his winding up of people even when he didn't mean to wind them up!! I don't really care what any of them do for a living but one thing I will add is that Bailiffs don't just turn up on your doorstep out of the blue to take goods they have to be instructed by a court as a last resort to people not answering a summons to pay their debts.

He had potential to be a good HM, but he screwed himself over. He was too arrogant, talked too much and too big about himself, and was more of an annoyance than a great character.
Good arguments are interesting to listen to, but when they come out of nowhere, they're just awkward.

* His argument with Becky on her first night. Why get all crazy about it.

* Argument with Luke S when Luke said some people would want this and others want that. He turned a perfectly sensible statement into an pointless argument. Lack of common sense.

* His trick on Caroline to go on a date which backfired on him. He wanted to make the girl look like an ass by giving her the impression he liked her, but she turned it around on him and he looked foolish in the DR when he said he was willing to go on another date with her.

* Alpha male declaration on the first night. He's not an alpha male, just a loudmouth.

* Arrogant loudmouth - His declaration that he had the biggest chest in the house. No sh*t - he's the roundest.

* The other argument with Becky that left him shouting he'll nominate her every week. He lost his cool there and made himself look like an aggressive ass; shots of him show him raging, while she's calmly curling her hair.

* Calling her greedy over food. Yea, she loves food and so does he. Isn't he the person who looked like he was going to cry if they lost the task? Yet, he was so excited - taking off his shirt - when they won a pizza dinner. Chris, you won a pizza party, not the world cup.

* My absolute favorite: his bailiff story the first night about how he was held ransom.... for 45 minutes! But before that, they gave him cash. LMAO

This guy was entertaining, but he should have controlled himself a bit more. I wanted to see him stay, but he did himself no favors.

Although Adam's past life is terrible, I think the HMs can look past it. He was very open about what he did from day 1 and his actions in the house have shown that he's a different person. If he had been as loud or as aggressive as Chris, the HMs would have found him very threatening and nominated him from the start. To illustrate how they perceive him, he was a fave of a few people.

Adam's current job also helps his case; he's gone from a criminal to a social worker, of sorts. Let's say his job was a bailiff or a bouncer (legitimate jobs), that could count against him because people would say he uses intimidation to earn a living.

He's also a good listener, down to earth, and seems very open to accept people.

Benedict does not have a criminal past, but his porn star job and constant wanks will cause problems for him. He needs to remember he's not on the set of a solo performance.
