It's a case of keep your enemy's close I think. That way they are less likely to vote for her and she has more idea what they are up to.

Of course they are still plotting behind her back and have it in for her, but that's the thinking behind trying to befriend people like that.

She is, but the problem is good people often get shunned by the schemers, so if the bitches group together and have more votes than her then she is in trouble and is in danger of losing in a vote

I agree and if they stick together as a group then there is no need for her to be close to the bitches to make it less likely they vote for her (though they probably will) and to keep a closer eye on 'em.

There'd be enough votes there to protect her against their group if they decide to vote for the same person of course and they are much better people for her to be with.
