Aren't both right? Before nominations, they are deciding who will be up for nomination. Technically, "up for nomination" or "nominated" are correct.

No its not.

Its not the correct term and thats fact.

Everyone is up for "nomination" in the sense that anyone could be nominated but they are nominated for EVICTION.

You dont nominate to put someone up for "nominations" that doesnt make sense.

I have just seen another thread like this on digital spy and 95% of the members agree, seems alot less bitchy there tbh.

It's extremely frustrating. I had a rant about it to Jamie East yesterday. How can they be up for Nomination?! IT'S NOT RIGHT! If two or more Housemates are up, it's up for EVICTION. Technically every Housemate is up for nomination!

Threads like this encourage people to say it further though.

Well those people are morons if they retaliate by saying it because a thread has pointed it out as incorrect.

It does drive me mad and I dunno why they even make this mistake as the sentence itself doesn't even make any sense.

maybe in the sense that the public nominate (vote) who get to leave? or in this case who is saved, and who doesnt get votes leaves.

The person leaving the house is the evictee. One person put up by the housemates is nominated to become the evictee by the public?
