View Full Version : Nominations talk - C5's lazy way out...

Part of the excitement of BB used to be trying to guess who people were going to nominate and watching how people used to second guess each other.
But it was evident in last nights show that the game has just become a game. Conversations seem to circle around who is nominating who and then agreeing on a target.
We used to watch the HM’s complete demanding weekly tasks, while the general enclosed living area provided the drama, the comedy, the bitching. The tensions built up and the atmosphere would swing in the house depending on how much food they had. Paranoia was key.
Now the paranoia is gone and nomination talk dominates everything. Has C5 picked a lazy way to create tension and fill their HL show?
I miss old BB with the secret nominations.
Ryan.

I think it's something different and I've actually really enjoyed the gameplaying so far, but I wouldn't want it again next year.
They should ban noms talk for a week to mess with their heads..

I am hoping that they are letting them discuss nominations, and then completely changing the rules, and stopping them in their tracks. It will then become so much harder for them having to second guess what everyone is doing.
You can have a vote about whether you agree with nominations talk here (https://www.facebook.com/BigBrotherUK/app_180572305343692?app_data=url_%2Fbots) at Official Big Brother, I just noticed.

It is really monotonous now all the noms plotting and talk in the highlights, last night was worse, of course we want to see and hear this weeks nominations, that was always the case but after it was announced who was up for eviction this week, Lydia and Deana then started working on who to get nominated next week.
It is now ridiculous the amount of time handed to noms chat and in the long run will damage this series likely. I really dislike the talking about noms but if they must talk about them then make them do face to face nominations, not much point now in doing any other.

Most nominations were predictable before though??????????
I never would have predicted Lauren vs. Benedict head-to-head... definitely had Deana and Becky in the mix. Thing about discussing noms that it chops and changes right to the last minute!
People need to stop moaning and enjoy. Its more of a game which its supposed to be.

I think now they have had a couple weeks discussing nominations i think it would be amazing if Big Brother took away the right to talk about nominations to see what then happens to house dynamics!

On one hand the noms talk adds something fresh this year. The problem is that the producers are focusing too much on nominations talk. Like Chris said when he left... they didn't talk about noms all the time in the house... but that's what the edit is leading us to believe. It's only been two weeks. After another 8 weeks i'll be tired as hell of listening to nominations talk.
It's also cause them to lose the punishments which I think they drastically need back. Parties every night and no punishments ever is so boring.

I like it, it ****s with them more because it makes them even more worried.

While the other HM's sat down and ripped Lydia and Deana apart...they are all doing it.

Agreed! If they are allowed talk about it, why are the nominations behind closed doors.

Ok, there is still paranoia, but its not at the same level.
There used to be multiple layers of paranoia, but whole sections of that has been taken away.

With the latest poll giving a 90% in favour of no noms talk, will the nobheads producing the show take note, I doubt it. Even Emma hinted last night at a change but you could see her thoughts were stifled somewhat. Carry on muppets, ch4 must be laughing in their coffee. When something is not broken and you try to mess with it, it gets broken.

BB needed a change. Its done 12 series with near enough the same format and by ratings its obvious people have got bored.
