In last nights highlights I heard Marcus say they would get £840 if they pass the shopping task.

Is that too much for one weeks food?

Thats a retarded amount especially with all the takeaways they get they only used to get £70 in BB2.

It's a ridiculously high amount. How many of them are there, 15? I'd be demanding tuna steak and beef fillet.

I could last for a year on that ..... :idc:

I'd say yes, however there are 15 of them in there though, so it comes down to £8 a day each,of course the prices they pay seem lower than general retail overall.
Also in addition, they get extra alcohol and takeaways etc; too so I will stick with yes it is.

As family of four we average 100.00 a week on food shopping, so I would say this is way over the top, presumably they have had to make allowances as Becky is obviously counted as a family of 4.

i hit no by mistake on the poll tho...

If I was in there I would demand to spend it all on booze. :joker:

Someone should buy £700 worth of bananas.

Its way to much. Back in the day they had to live off chick peas and porridge and a luxury budget was about a quarter of that i think.

They even used to bake their own bread

£8 a day to go towards food, booze, tobacco etc, plus bog rolls and other sundries. I don't think that's too much at all.

It's a ridiculous amount, even for 15 people. Especially when they get food throughout the week for **** all anyway.

Yeah, I miss the days of growing their own vegetables, taking care of the chickens etc.

THAT was the Big Brother experience. lol

Yes...... far to much! Plenty of hms from earlier series would have cut their own arms off for that budget :D

It's WAY too much. They shouldn't be living in luxury. It's a joke.

I was talking to a friend today about baking bread, & got me thinking they used to do that on BB, they were the good all days.:spin:

£8 per day is hardly extravagance towards all the things needed. Would you rather they were miserable and have them moaning all day? Mind you, that would not see a change in some people..

The seemed to have run out of rations very early on this week and were using the chickpeas, and that was on last weeks "luxury" budget, I know they messed up when ordering and spent far too much on biscuits and bread, but there must be some big eaters in there. All those muscles need lots of protein...

C'mon. £8 a day on food, alcohol and cigarettes? You don't think that's extravagant? That's £56 per person per week. That amount could cover two weeks for me!

Their budget should be lowered and they should learn how to prioritise.

It depends whether they shop at ASDA or M&S

its not our money so who really cares it still wont be enough for some
and im sure some things will get missed off the list and when they do fail a task it will make it even harder for them to cope on a budget.

Patrick

Yes. And it'd be okay if someone like Harry were in there and would spend about £420 of it on Bananas or something but these dicks wouldn't.

Im re-watching BB2 at the moment and on day 41 they have £24.50 to buy a weeks shopping for 7 housemates.
It makes things far more interesting than the flop that is BB13.

Thats £64 in real money and they are only allowed to spend a percentage of it on alcohol and it is dispensed at the discretion of BB so how much they buy is irrelevant.
They havent shown a single moment this series discussing alcohol purchases so far they are phasing it out of the show slowly so inone and desperate dan dont realise and cry too much.

Yeah, definitely way too much.
