Do you think she does this because she is quite heartless, or do you think they derive from nervousness/embarrassment?

The first one

Because she is a silly moo.:yuk:
Out of nervousness/not knowing how to react, I often start laughing whenever someone tells me really bad news, leads to some quite awkward situations where it looks like I'm just being a dick

I think it's out of nervousness too. She seems to start with them at the most inappropriate times where she feels self conscious about the situation. She did it during Benedict's masturbation manifesto, and when getting chastised for nomination talk. I think she was just embarrassed that people were told what she had been saying about Becky there and she felt a bit stupid. I think Benedict was a little unfair in that episode.

Not at all, she CHEERED when Victoria left, she admitted as much herself when Becky jumped in the pool, nerves my ass, she is a cold hearted moo, very few people could cheer a HM leaving especially after 3 days in the house.

I think you can tell form when she does it and about whom, that it stems from being heartless.

She isn't that heartless. Probably giggles from nervousness.
It made her look terrible though when Becky was sat there horrified by what she was hearing.

She's not always laughing at people though. It's more about the situation. I'm pretty sure everyone in there must have bitched about someone. I just think her impromptu giggling makes her seem more callous than she actually is. I'm not implying she is all sweetness and light.

Agreed, horrible person, A woman trying to cling on to her childhood...Pathetic really, someone with her education failing her A levels. Laughing like a 14 yr old during uncomfortable conversations.
Not to mention her disgusting comments in the diary room, lauren should swallow her tongue and go to sleep?....Vile, thats the only word to describe that behaviour.
Jake.

Nerves, it happens to a lot of people.

Didn't she get a bit of stage fright and get a bit giddy? I can only vaguely remember.

I think nervousness is the major part behind her giggling.

As previously said she does seem rather cold hearted and inmature, her giggling is a mix of both reasons.

A bit of both I think.

Same here. Definitely don't tell me your granny fell down the stairs or your kid fell off the bed. I'll just burst out laughing. My mind just thinks of thumping sounds.

I think the giggles is due to nervousness but she has no excuse for her behaviour otherwise. She decides to behave the way she does and that's appalling.

Okay, so even if the manical giggling is nerves, how do we excuse her cheering when Victoria and Crimson Chris exited the building....more nerves, lack of social graces, lack of manners.... she is a cow end of, and she has piggy eyes so there.:joker:

I think she is just an extremely immature, spoilt, horrible little posh bint, who has a very nasty & selfish streak... :nono:
Nervousness/awkwardness but also because she doesn't take things as seriously as everyone else, nothing wrong with that. She's not this cruel heartless person people keep trying to make her out to be :idc:

It dates back to medievil britain. The upper classes were regarded as selfish and reveled in bad news. Most posh people do a ha ha when they have no retort. She is vile and uses the sniggers as a reflex against a situatuon she knows she is wrong about. Her arroogance derives from constantly being told that little people from the lower classes are always wrong. She isnt that posh, her deportment and vocabulary are forced. She isnt posh, she is trying to be posh.

So she wasn't vocal about how much she disliked Victoria/Chris & didn't openly cheer when they were evicted then??

Heh you're right there sampvt. Can't belive I'm agreeing with you .
The laughing at others is a method of looking down on those she feels are beneath her and of making them feel foolish and that they are in the wrong when she knows inside when she is responding poorly or in the wrong.
It's a tactic the upper classes and rich use generally, that when they know they've responded poorly or made a mistake they laugh at those beneath them to make them feel that they had it wrong and that they are inadequate
So she wasn't vocal about how much she disliked Victoria/Chris & didn't openly cheer when they were evicted then??
Just being honest, and as I said she doesn't take things as seriously as everyone else. People need to lighten up.

Agreed plus she did a victory dance when Chris was evicted and she's planning on cheering Benedict when he goes - that's just plain nastiness imo.

Well she didnt take too kindly to Becky likening her to one of the ugly sisters, not so light hearted there was she...hope they cheer when she leaves, and give her a taste of her own medicine. Cheering when people are leaving is nasty and vindictive, its nothing to do with being light hearted, she is putting the boot in. :nono:

I agree with you. I also am not a massive fan of Caroline but do think her giggling is nerves - it is the way some people are. I also think Benedict went way OTT whilst having a go at her, in fact I thought he was a little bullish.
