FORMER gangster Adam Kelly sparked an unholy row after smoking a bizarre “ciggie’’ and making a joke about Jesus.

The American wannabe, 27, puffed away on an odd-looking roll-up in the early hours.

Insiders claim it looked too big to be a cigarette. And some suggested it may have been a rolled-up banana skin which people sometimes smoke because they believe they can get high.

Chilled-out Adam, who has had drug and drink problems in the past and says he is now “clean and sober”, passed it around.

And then after sticking two matchsticks in the end of it to make a crucifix, he joked: “I’m smoking Jesus.”

But fiery tempered Sara McLean, 22, who is religious and had had a few drinks, did not find his remark funny.

She blasted: “No! You don’t smoke Jesus. I doI don’t appreciate people smoking Jesus on a cross. How very dare you. It’s sacrilege.”

Luke Mason, 20, tried to calm things down by saying: “It wasn’t Jesus on a cross.”

I'm not religious at all, but that does seem like kind of an offensive thing to do....

What a DUMB piece of journalism. So, the Daily Star has C5 "insiders"..analyzing the size of HM's roll up smokes, and theorizing they're actually rolled up banana skins. Silly stuff.

This isn't a monarchy debate, but I have to say... the Queen's great, great grandfather being German does not make her German. Her great grandmother was Danish, so she's actually more Danish than German. If your great (great) grandparents' nationality makes you not British, most of the Brits on the forum would consider themselves foreign.

The thing that quite annoys me about the kind of religious argument they had was that, if Adam was sitting with a Muslim, do you think he'd have made a joke about Mohammed? No, probably not.
