View Full Version : Caroline What will Caroline's parents think...?

Since Benedict told Emma Willis she spent a lot of time in the house bitching about them.

Don't know if it's true (perhaps we'll find out after more evictions) but feel sorry for her parents really.

Marcus.

Ben is a complete arsehole!... all he done was completely humiliate her parents - all rather nasty, and spiteful I thought! I can't say I've seen any evidence of her slagging her parents off so far. Perhaps we will at some point tho.

Can't stand rude, arrogant, patronising, over-opinionated, self-righteous arseholes like Ben. So glad he's gone!

I wouldn't put it past her she slags everyone else off...

Ben said it was edited out for legal reasons. That's why we wouldn't see any of it - if it has happened.

He can say what he likes about any of the HMs - they know what they're up for when they choose to go into the house, but I don't think it's fair on her parents who have been innocently caught up in this.

I think her parents have quite a lot of answer for.

It was a very spiteful thing to do and he made a point of mentioning it a couple of times so that it wasn't missed.

Although during both interviews he kept on about the immaturity of the other housemates I thought she showed a great deal of immaturity himself. Even when Brian asked why Lauren had been saved over him he couldn't bring himself to say she was more popular with the public. His answer was that she would benefit more from staying in the house - what a load of rubbish that man speaks.

I doubt theyll even watch it because they sound like a pair of snobs who think most things are beneath them.

Could be either of two ways they'll either not give a damn as they may have been brought up to not think of other's feelings too as a lot of rich/posh people are (and might be just because they've not heard the full extent of it themselves so don't know if they should react that badly)

or they'll be disgusted if they have any ability to face the truth about their Daughter and have manners. We must remember that Caroline learned that behaviour somewhere and it's most likely from her parents.

I think they'll be very embarrassed of their daughter.

Caroline is really spoilt. She's like a small child! So annoying! :bored:

Can't do their careers a lot of good either. Isn't one of the a GP?
No wonder they didn't want her to go into the BB house.

I agree with most of this :)

It's all hearsay at this point, we haven't actually seen Caroline say anything, so let's reserve judgement until/if we do.

Spiteful thing to say whether she had or hadn't said anything. What is the need to say anything, as thinking their daughter had said such things would surely hurt? He should have just kept his trap shut as he doesn't know what has and hasn't been seen by the public.

Agreed.

Benedict loves to think of himself as this sophisticated, mature individual, who is above all the childish nonsense that's been going on. But, he sabotaged the Protein shake, forced Caroline multiple times to have conversations about topics she didn't feel comfortable talking about, said quite horrible things to Ashleigh, and then proceeded to slag a bunch of them off once he was evicted. Doesn't sound the actions of a mature, sophisticated man, imo of course.

I wonder whether Benedict gets carried away espousing his opinions but doesn't think about how it may hurt others. I'm not sure it's intentional. He intended to get at Caroline that's for sure but maybe didn't think the effect it would have on her family.

Indeed. He seemed to lavish in his own self importance sometimes, looking slightly down on others, and conveying that he felt slightly superior in the intelligence stakes towards some. I think his feelings of superiority made him think he had the need to chastise others like they were naughty school children, treating them as slightly inferior, rather than equals. Although he was quite a good housemate, and somewhat entertaining, with hindsight since his eviction, I think he had every possibility of becoming over bearing in there as his time progressed.

Being a sad disfuntional human being leads me to believ that there is no smoke without fire. Her disregard for everyone she meets is probably a direct result of parental neglect so all indications point to Ben telling the truth and why would he say such a thing if it wasnt true. I dont think he would do that.

Most upper class snobs shun their sibblings in favour of their carreers or self importance, looks like a real deal there guys.

As someone else pointed out, it is all learned behaviour. We are not born knowing how to behave socially etc, we are shown. Caroline has adopted her scorn and vitriol from somewhere. Perhaps it is the company she keeps outside of the house (boarding school??), or perhaps indeed, it has been instilled (whether directly or indirectly) from her parents, or from their absence. I really do not believe Benedict would put himself on the line and create a web of lies about Caroline. He would have nothing to benefit by doing so. I was very pleased to see he took her down a peg or two before leaving the house. Someone needed to.

I have a feeling Caroline probably said something about her parents, and Benedict took it out of context and is blowing it out of proportion.

For example (hypothetically), I can see Caroline saying something along the lines of:

"My parents sent me away to private school, gawd they are so awful"

Reality though is that....

1) its natural for someone to not want to be sent away to private school & she might still be a little upset about it.

2) everything is 'awful' to Caroline. Its just one of her sayings, she doesn't actually mean it literally.

I love Benedict and am not particularly fond of Caroline. But in this respect I agree with Shevionne's assessment at nominations about Benedict's hurtful telltaling. :nono:
I think it was unnecessary and vindictive to bring her parents into it. Also the extent of his resentment to someone so much younger than him is quite immature and unreasonable especially with his teaching background.
He knows Caroline's immaturity mean girl personality and insecurities are connected to her upbringing and probable embarrassment at wanting to be in the BB house in the first place with parents who are dead against it.
I think Benedict is better than this most of the time. :puzzled:

That's complete speculation, and not too convincing either.

And those who want the whole show censored basically don't want live stream either, and also don't want reality TV. Every person on the show is held responsible for what they say and do, even if something is censored from the HLs it's likely to come out eventually. People going on the show know this. And if you really want to hear why people feel the way they do about other people in the house you have to hear the details otherwise it wouldn't be fair at all.
