This is inspired by another thread questioning the sanity of Benedict...
It got me thinking, do all the HM's have issues?

Are they a group put together due to thier sociopathic tendencies,
real life lab rats, chosen due to a idiosyncrasy in their behaviour?

This is my take on each,
Adam: Identity crisis, born in uk raised in america, culture clash.
ashleigh: Hides vulnerable side behind crude front, some past trauma.
arron: finds it easy to make but not maintain friendships well, social cue issues.
benedict: Craves acceptance of alternative lifestyle, challenges societal norms.
becky: Appears to have the biggest issue, surprisingly doesen't
chris: Small man syndrome
caroline: superiority complex
conor:....not a clue yet
deana: Problems interacting within a group.
luke A : identity issues (obv)
luke S: control issues
lauren: social manipulator
lydia: Instigator
victoria: age related issues
scott: created new persona due to sexuality
shievonne: clown phobia
sara: obsessed with the monarchy

No it's just an insane system that educates people to compete and be selfish so as the system can continue. They are just some of the most selfish (trained so) and are more desperate for fame and more material goods which don'[t mean a lot anyway.

That's what we see here just people who've been trained to be more selfish than most and who are more obsessed to become famous and grab at as many material goods as poss.

I wouldn't say they are sociopaths although they may have been chosen for mental health diagnoses which came up in the tests so BB thinks they are more likely after a bit to start tearing (verbally anyway) (for viewing figures) each other apart

(WARNING: If you're a Daily Mail reader don't bother reading this book. You just won't get it).

That's why I find BB so fascinating, the psychology of all these wannabes.

I think Lydia has a personality disorder. She creates drama out of nothing, puts on ridiculous displays for attention- multiple episodes of fake crying/sobbing etc.

Caroline has a superiority complex as you said op, but that just comes from going through the private schooling system + her upper middle class/upper class social circle. She is vile imo.

I think it's the BB house, I try to imagine what it must be like to be in there and I doubt I could do it unless someone was in I was already close to which would defeat the object.
I do think most of what we see is 'not' how they are outside in real life but being stuck in there 24 hours, eating sleeping and having to interact together all the time must wear them down.

In that I feel some sympathy for most of them however the house does seem to open up a nastier side to most housemates.
It would likely really drive me crazy being in the BB house.
