There've been some pretty stupid names on BB over the years but BB 13 we have some chav spellings.
Which is worst?

Good poll. Really funny
I've put the point in another thread when some 1 asked why so many people especially on BB have their names spelled so differently from how they normally are.
I said it's either
Because their parents wanted to be creative or they themselves changed their name to appear creative and more special
or because their parents couldn't spell and the vicar wasn't going to be rude enough to tell them they'd spelled the name wrong when they showed him the birth certificate.
I voted Ashleigh. It's the only vote she'll get from me LOL
So which do you think it is
a) Their names are like that to try and appear different and special
or
b) because their parents couldn't spell

You have trouble spelling anything, except English may not be your first language which is fair enough so take care. Smeagol is different and he's pretending to not be able to spell to be funny and I love his posts their usually spot on about the hm s

Ashleigh is the correct way to spell... well... Ashleigh. And Shievonne is just the phonetic English version of Siobhan, isn't it? I don't see either as particularly chavvy spellings. If it's chavvy people.... Ashleigh, hands down.

Arron.
Ashleigh's name's right so I went with Shievonne on the poll.

Ashleigh is normally spelt Ashley.
Shievonne - the result of semi-literate parents hearing the name and not bothering to find out where it comes from or how it's (properly) spelt .....

I love Shievonne but her name is very chavy I have come across 3 people names Shievonne one was a violent yardie, one a little potty mouthed 6 year old and one a chavy skank in my year 9 DT class (I remember her letting boys finger her in class :yuk:)

No Conor should have two n's in his name though.

There is very little point in discussing the spelling of forenames.
The choice is very wide, a registrar (not vicar) has no power to refuse or 'correct', it is entirely up to the parents.
I do not think this is a class issue either (chavvy?).You will find some strange spellings amongst all classes.
From viewing this MB I would say we need to concentrate on spelling words from the dictionary before worrying about names.

I can't see the UK having a Princess Shievonne at any time in the near future, although I understand that Siobhan Benita is a London mayoral candidate ..... :idc:
