I've always wondered this - in past Big Brother's, have your favorites been more commonly girls, or boys? For me it's been like this:

Not to say that women haven't been great housemates, they have. Just that the ones I like seem to leave fairly early on a lot of the time. I've been impressed with most of BB13s females so far though. Even though I really dislike some of them, they are a zillion times more interesting to watch than BB12s.

Don't think I have ever actually had a female as a favourite though from any series. My favourites are usually men and my top ten only includes Makosi BB6 and Bea BB10. Even those two though weren't my overall favourite housemate of their series, although Makosi was before Science took over. It's still early days, but BB13 could end up being the first.:)

I find that females usually make more entertaining housemates but that's not to say there haven't been any great male housemates. Derek, Science, Victor, Kemal, Freddie, Aaron and Rex were all great male housemates.

Usually any of my favourites get evicted by the half way stage, I generally have a male and female favourite, except for last year when Aaron was my favourite right from the start of the series.

I find the male housemates slightly more entertaining but only just.I have only had 2 people win that were my favourites from the start and that was Brian Dowling and Aaron last year.

Other than that, my first favourites usually fall rather quickly and unexpectedly like Ben Duncan did in BB11.

I've watched 11 Big brothers, I had no favourite for BB4 so after that,6 of my favourites have been male and 4 women, shame Brian and Helen were both in the same BB though cos both of them would be in my top 5
