It's not very likely is it ?
They'll be doing really well, playing above their abilities if they get past Italy tonight.
Brother Leon
24-06-2012, 05:37 PM
Yes. Should be ableto watch this game too tbh. Put it on mute if you are scared of outside info being leaked by commentators.

24-06-2012, 05:37 PM

None of them seem the type that would be too bothered about footy really.

Yes. They have watched football before in the BB house - in 2004 and 2010.
King Gizzard
24-06-2012, 05:46 PM
they signed up knowing what they were getting into, that the euro's were on this year

Naaah. But if they win, they could put it on a fake newspaper thing and send it to the house to see if they believe it.

Didn't they see the England Germany World Cup game in BB11, after they won that penalty shootout against the BB Germany housemates
Mr Neutral
24-06-2012, 05:50 PM
None of them actually strike me as people that would be interested in football anyway to be fair, with the exception of maybe Arron.
That is true Mathew.
But they shouldn't repeat any such favour to these housemates, especially because they've persistently broken the rules :hmph:

I agree they sign up for BB and a rule is no contact with the outside World, however already Lydia has for her Birthday had a phone call from her boyfriend and not a landmark Birthday either.
England rarely ever get to finals of tournaments and the OP asked should they be allowed to watch the final if they get there, not any matches up to the final.
I would have come down on the side of if they wanted to, yes, they could watch the actual final if England made it to the final.
A couple of hours out of 10 weeks or so shouldn't matter and if they wanted to support England they should be permitted to.
Even prisoners in prison are likely to get the chance to watch the Euro 2012 final whether England are there or not, so for housemates in a reality show, I say yes for that 'one off' occasion 'if' England are one of the final teams.

No! If I wanted to watch people watch football I would watch my family. :idc:

Jords
24-06-2012, 07:39 PM
I voted yeah.. its just a footy match not like during half time theyre all gonna talk about the HMs LOL.
Yes. Didn't they let them watch a world cup game back in Big Brother 11 as well? It's quite a nice moment and if England make the finals, by all means the housemates should be able to grace such a success for the nation :D

This! Why should they allow them to watch football just because this country is obsessed with it.

getting to the final of a major sporting event for the first time in 46 years can hardly be compared to a soap

and I don't think they should have been shown previous tournaments either for the record

When hurricane Katrina hit, the US BB hm's were not told, and some of them had friends and family living in the impacted areas. Does it compare to that?

YES! Because I'm a football fan and although I'm not an England fan I think, provided they've done a task, either a few housemates or the entire house should get to watch :)

I don't think that's entirely true, because I clearly remember when 9/11 happened a housemate was told about it and was told that her cousin was in the one of the Towers either when impact was made or it had collapsed.
They do notify you if it's serious.
Yes it's happened before with smaller matches
Sophiee
24-06-2012, 09:09 PM
they should most definitely be.
I really don't know why people think the football is so important :bored: Its a sport... a sport... it really does completely baffle me.
JeanP!
24-06-2012, 09:31 PM
It's over
