View Full Version : Luke A "I'm fed up of being insignificant"

Like a ticking time-bomb, Luke A has finally blown a fuse after 21 days of relative tranquility.
In an uncharacteristic outburst, Luke A stropped out of the bedroom, enraged by the fact that Shievonne and Caroline had decided to wrestle each other. Not exactly a crime you may be thinking – but they did so at the precise time that Luke A had chosen to take a little siesta. Anyone who has been woken up from a well-needed nap would agree that this can be quite annoying.
As Lauren and Adam tried to calm him down, he confided "I'm fed up of being insignificant", probably the most heart-wrenching line someone can ever say.
When prompted by his friends that he should mention his grievances with the others, he replied, "Not worth my breath, they'll just laugh at me".
However, it seems that they hadn't done it to intentionally to annoy him. Both Caroline and Shievonne were quick to apologise, innocently saying they hadn't realised he was sleeping.
If Luke A doesn't speak up soon, could we see more of these outbursts in the future? If so, we're prediciting fireworks...

Can't even see him wanting to stay in there any longer and don't blame him at all.

He's out of place in there, as much as I like him, poor soul :(

I wouldn't blame him if he walked, the people he likes are dropping like flies and he'll soon be on the chopping block thanks to those cretins.

He should walk, and this weeks eviction should be cancelled

I like him - think he'll be in the final. Even if he has outbursts think he's earned enough respect already to work it through with other HMs.

I'm really liking Luke A - sensible and level headed and not a bitch or chav - maybe he should strop and show them what he is made of I certainly wouldn't blame him.

I'm sorry but I had a bit of an in appropriate laugh at a comment made to Luke A at the weekend.
A couple of them were discussing Bendicts curry prank and Luke said that he could never do something like that, that he just wouldn't be brave enough. And, I think it was Adam, said that he should grow some balls.
I know it was a innocent comment and the double meaning was completely lost on those involved. But I found it funny!
Sorry I'll get my coat... :D

You can't expect people to tip toe around in there if you are having a nap. If he has grievances then he needs to have the courage to say something, rather than just skirt around the subject, without telling others how he feels.

But he's not...he's just bitching about the problems instead of addressing them head-on

Once his so called bombshell was dropped, he had nothing else to offer the house. He is acting like a victim when he chose to put himself in there knowing there would be big charachters and difficult storylines to deal with. His sympathetic and the boy next door aproach isnt working. He is getting more airtime because of his gender thing.
Ask yourself thisif he was a man with no gender issues and was acting like Luke A is doing, would you still support him, I fear not. He is dull and unstable.

Actually it was Luke who actually said "I wish I had the balls to do that" I was waiting for a comment but none came from anyone there so I just giggled to myself

I don't think someone gets where Luke A has got to in his life without being able to stand up for himself. He seems like a well-rounded human being... which is probably why he feels out of place with that bunch of self-promoting, delusional, attention-seeking misfits.

OK, fair point, but you'd think that those traits would manifest themselves after 3 weeks, even in an environment like the BB house. So far I think he's just let himself be pushed around by not speaking up for how he feels.

Maybe he needs to do more then cook, smoke in the sofa and swim in the swimming pool.

He should grow some balls! They didn't do it intentionally either.

I don't think anyone's intentionally pushed him around. If they did I think we'd see a different side to him. The rest of the housemates just don't have any kind of awareness of their impact on other people (or they just don't care), and if ever it's pointed out by someone (equally unaware) it ends up in a childish squabble or screaming match. I think Luke A is a little deeper than that.

OK, I can see that. I still think he should be more willing to put his point of view forward or else he's just letting people walk all over him. As you said, they're not doing it intentionally, so it's no one's fault but his if he feels maligned but doesn't speak up. The other HMs are admittedly self-involved and unaware of their surroundings, but that should make it all the more clear to Luke that subtle hints and quietly fuming won't get anywhere.
I hope he'll realize this in the future and really snap at someone. That would really get the house's attention, and it might convince me to believe he's something more than an utter dullard :joker:
