The way Deana was treated by most of the others in the HL show.

To me, it was bullying.

I would say yes, I do love a good bitch fight in the house, but this all turned very uncomfortable and unpleasant.. They all seemed to gang up on her (except Ashleigh surprisingly)

MatthewS

Did they say all this to her face? Or were they talking amongst themselves?

If its to her face, it absolutely sounds like bullying.

If it wasn't, its kind of hard to bully someone that isn't even present. But, if threats were made, that's just as serious.

EDIT: Watching the show now, will post back.

Of course, wont let anybody tell me different.

Its not just the 1 night thing, its happened over the course of the show!

Yeah, because they're definitely targetting her. If it was Ashleigh who couldn't eat hers none of them would bat an eye lid.

If they know what they have said is likely to get back to her via the grapevine and they know it would have an effect on her then it is still bullying

Without a doubt. I really don't see any justification to say otherwise.

of course its bullying. if the same thing happens at school ts bullying. these are adults its even worst.
anybody thinks otherwise seriously needs to see a brain surgeon, if you dont like someone you ignore them speak when you have to. you dont bully. how do these people get on at work always ppl to hate you dont start abusing them threating them every chance you get.

I haven't seen it yet guys so don't hold my earlier comment against me, just speculating at this point. If it really is bullying, that's horrible behavior and I'd hope BB punishes those involved.

Absolutely it was bullying. She's been singled out and it's painful to watch. I can't imagine how anyone could see it in any other way.

It's such a shame because even though she knows they hate her, she seems oblivious to the fact that they are bullying her...If I was in her place, I would've complained straight away.

Yes, I felt particuarly uncomfortable watching when Arron started shouting out while she was eating during the task.

Then again when Caroline tried to embarrass her in front of everyone

It wasnt just the comments Conor made, but the little things like Becky hiding her epilator in a fruit bowl and Caroline telling Deana not to shave her legs on the kitchen table or whatever it was :s

Deana did make a good comeback that shut them all up though. She's a strong woman and fast becoming my favourite! I hope she doesnt walk.

They have been picking on her for weeks, they just don't like her at all. And the way they all slated her for failing the task, when it was'nt even for shopping or anything important was just plain mean.

I also hate it when Arron acuses Deana of acting up to the camera's, which is exactly what him and Luke S do all day, wondering about with no shirts on. Purely tactical to get votes.

Yes and it's been going on for ages and the total lack of remorse or empathy from Arron in the diary room was horrible - it's not entertainment any more.

Yes it was bullying by Caroline, Becky, and Arron. Conor's outburst was more uncontrolled aggression, I doubt its the last time we will see him explode.

The other three should have had a warning not just Conor.

bb should of removed him and warned the rest straight away not let this bullying carry on., now they are putting the show at risk for what just to keep that moron in.
the guy called her a asshole first week for no reason. having him in the house is risky as his not quite right in the head who knows what he will say do next anyway.
they are so dumb not to act.

Conor threatened to sexually assault Deana with a hairbrush and knock her out, while laughing.

Bullying is an understatement. Whether he meant it or not, he has to be unhinged.

Even if she had been playing up to the cameras, which all the plastics do anyway, that is no excuse for the way they have treated her! They really are a nasty, immature bunch of dimwits. Once the decent housemates like Luke A, Lauren, Adam and Deana, Lydia are gone ( if none of the make it) I am switching off! Also wish Benedict had been in there, he would not of put up with what went on in tonight's show!

This is only my second post of this series. And again, it is to lament the disgusting behaviour exhibited by some of them, when it comes to Deanna. I don't use the term as lightly as others, but one really can't deny that this is text book bullying. A group are deliberatley seeking to isolate, berate and belittle another person. What else could you possibly call it?
I guess we should have seen this coming. It is compulsive, and cringeworthy viewing. One can really see the absolute worst in humanity festering in a group that seem like decent enough kids. None of them are bad people - but their behaviour is dreadful. Deanna seems like a thoroughly well behaved, well mannered and classy young woman, even if she is a little reserved. But maybe she is an actor, a drama queen, playing up to the cameras etc. Whatever she is, or isn't, there is absolutely no excusing this behaviour. And the saddest thing of all, was when BB pointed it out to Aron, when they made it as plain as they could without actually using the 'bullying' word, he still showed absolutely no remorse. I have no doubt he was reared better than that.

I think that anyone has to be in total denial that has voted NO on this poll! :nono:

The pack mentality of the 'Cool-Gang' this series is rather sinister in my view!
The only consolatory thought is that within a few weeks when they have ousted the 'weak ones'....they'll have to tear each other to pieces !!

Cheers.

Bullying of the WORST kind!!!!!!!
The fact that BB didn't punish Connor for his vile rant is just the icing on the cake.

I'm really losing the desire to keep on watching this years BB fast.

Yes! rat face, fat ass and arron were bullying her all the way and Conor took it to next level, even if it wasnt right in her face, the fact that they talk smack about her only feeds the gang mentality and it's dangerous since it can explode in her face (Conor is a prime example of it).

in my eyes no, deena didnt know about it so inturn is not effected by it, its more or less harsh comments and bitching within a group.

bullying is face to face

Cunning Caroline is the brains of the operation, the way she successfully brought up the problem again by calling Deana to the table about her epilator hair. She brought Deana in and then let Conor's hate for Deana take over, disimulating her part and making Conor stand out as the primary instigator this time imo.

If they were just talking behind her back, then I'd agree. But the violent nature of the language they used (it wasn't just Connor, but he was the ringleader in this case), the fact that many of them are dispicably rude to her face, that others are now joining in by making comments and hiding her stuff, it seems like a classic case of bullying to me.

Yes, I think so. I'm not one to throw that term around loosely, especially when it comes to BB because I know it's pretty over used but the way they were shouting at her and mocking her during the task and then blaming her for the s**t prize after the task - when BB never implied that it was anything to do with any of them failing- and then that disgusting, playground bully like "song" Conor made up about her, that isn't an argument, an argument takes both parties and this was most definitely a one sided attack.

^ This

....and also before the task, Caroline with the gang, trying to belittle Deana about shaving her legs on the table, with them all sniggering at her and then later when Caroline & Becky decided to hide her stuff

Its bullying whichever way you look at it and quite frankly its disgraceful :nono:
