Conor said it, in the most jokingly way possible - he could not of made it more comical if he tried. Everyone at the table KNEW he was kidding too, the voice he said it in was pure banter.

And it wasn't even said to Deana's face - even when he said he would 'Punch her' he maintained a humorous voice.
The language of course could be deemed threatening or abusive, in another context I agree - but then Big Brother called him to the Diary Room and reminded him of the rules.

As is anyone willing to defend him. I'd agree if they were complaining about anything else that's happened on BB so far except the race row, but they're complaining about a housemate who has basically commited an offence being kept in the house with someone he has threatened (seriously or not, as I said, you don't joke about things like that).

Far from it, in the polls posted about it last night, it was in fact a very small minority that thought what he did was ok, most people were appalled.

Making ourselves look daft for objecting to someone threatening to physically hurt another person, I don't think so. He didn't just make one off the cuff comment, it was a full blown rant, and uncomfortable to watch. Had he done this to Lauren just as an example, she wouldn't have said it was alright like Deana has (which incidentally probably went a long way to saving his bacon) and he'd more likely have been out.

Yes, but you have to remember a lot of this bullying and the nastiness is happening behind her back. If she would have heard Conor's threats towards her then she most likely would have felt different.

I'm not saying everybody should complain to OFCOM or anything, I'm not going to as I think Big Brother did warn Conor and Arron that they're behaviour wasn't acceptable. Should Conor have got a proper punishment or perhaps removal? Yes, probably. Other people are doing what they can in this case, which unfortunately isn't very much. They were said in a serious tone - he admitted himself they were angry and not joking, even though he's still not really owning his full responsibility in saying them. It's also not the first violent threat he's made in the past week - it is, however, the first one he's made where he's in a position to carry it out.

What people are picking up on is that they are the words and tone of an abuser. It's easy to blow that off as overdramatic, but it's on the checklists used by battered women's shelters for a REASON. That is not a thought that randomly pops into a sober man's head on a whim, nor is it one that he wordvomits into a group of other people for ****s and giggles.

Because they had open nomination discussion for 2 weeks and the group of "alphas" needed a target. If it wasn't Deana, it would've been someone else. Because they had open nomination discussion for 2 weeks and the group of "alphas" needed a target. If it wasn't Deana, it would've been someone else. It just happens that it is Deana, and Conor took it way too far, and now here we are. This could just as easily be Sara instead of Deana, or Lauren, or Victoria if she was still in the house.
