I used to work with a French girl who was studying at University in Kent and she claimed many of the English students on her course had not heard of Hitler and had never heard of the Cold war. She thought it was pathetic and I agreed.

Also, my Uncle owns a swanky Hotel on the North coast of Jamaica and he claimed many of the English residents are among the least cultured people he has staying there. i think it might be important to know about the major events in history and how they came about. especially when you have children and want them to live in a relatively free and safe environment when they grow up. knowing about hitler and his propaganda might actually be beneficial in our day and age, just look over the pond to the big US of A and how theyre using it right now. its very similar.

if you dont recognise whats going on, you cant do anything about it. and its easier to recognise something when youve heard of it before.
