View Full Version : It's 'Conor' not 'Connor'

Not to be pedantic or anything but it's:

'Conor' and not 'Connor'
'Arron' and not 'Aaron'
'Ashleigh' and not 'Ashley'
'Deana' and not 'Deena'

It's just it irritates me a little when people repeatedly spell the names of the housemates wrong, and it's been particularly evident with Conor - even the petition wanting to get him out was spelt 'Connor', which seemed a bit silly to me. Does this bother anyone else too, when the names are spelt wrong?

Ok, little rant over. I do apologize

The fact that Arron spells his name like that bothers me more tbh

easily solved, just call them Shrek, Shrek's friend and Trampy...simple. But I know what you mean I have a son called Conor and it is annoying when people spell it Connor.:bawling:

Imho Arron should spell it like last years winner and I refuse to spell Siobhan anyway other than this. Her parents should not have bastardised the name.

Haha one of my closest friends is called Conor as well and he gets so angry when teachers spell his name with two 'n's. Who spells Conor like 'Connor' anyways? :bored:

Its the English spelling of Conor which of course is an Oirish name and means lover of hounds....yes it does..we can see that Conor is taking his name very seriously as I think he has a crush on Trampy.:joker:

Conor doesn't deserve any respect tbh so I might just call him Rooney from now on.

Conor, Conner, Arron, Aaron.... it's all irrelevant, they should call them tweedle dee, tweedle dum, and their friend Luke S... well he could be....

I blame the parents. If anything I'm going to make a special point of spelling the names 'Connor' and so on.
If the variation is has a legit cultural purpose (some gaelic reason) then I can accept that. Otherwise, You have to discuss with your parents why your name is spelled wrong. Why they did that to you. What kind of annoying thing they were thinking etc.

I was just going to say that. Shievonne is the silliest spelling of Siobhan I have ever seen!
