What exactly was the point of this? It appeared at the beginning of the BB7 Titles.

Was it just for the theme? Was there any real meaning behind it?
Also - what does the small print say - just before, 'Not For Transmission'?

I know the BB7 Titles had alot of 1984 References in them.. wondering if this is one of them..

It was to tie in with the whole scientific experiment theme I guess.
