It wasnt just a comment on weight though, Deana went in the bin to get the tin out then chose to highlight the calories.
Becky said she couldnt care less because she doesnt look at the calories.

I hate counting calories, but I recently started and its crazy how fast they add up!! 200 grams of bread has about 300 calories!! Ad ham, mayo and cheese and you have a quarter of your daily allowance. If you then eat something sweet for a snack you are done for the day.. crazy!

Being aware of something is the first step to controlling it

Measuring it is the second step :-)

Yeah, I went on a low carb diet and lost so many pounds in 2 weeks. Cut out processed foods like bread & pasta and your body changes overnight.

Talking about one's weight seems perfectly normal to me, I do it all the time. Talking about a friends weight seems to me to be different and something that needs to be led by them. In that much I agree that Deana was insensitive and probably naive.

Chuff is wrong though imo because she carries on to say that Becky has no problem at all with her weight but in my eyes she clearly does. As I was correctly pointed out, she nominated Deana twice because of her weight issues. Doesn't seem the mark of someone who has no issue at all in my eyes.

Yeah, I agree, she's very contradictory about it too, on the one hand she's says she's happy about her size and she had that burger eating bit in her VT but then on the other she's nominating Deanna because she commented on her own weight in front of her and she thinks she's skinny, that would suggest to me that she's in denial about how happy in her own skin she really is

Most likely. Either she's happy in her own skin & weight isn't an issue (which goes for her view on others as well), or she isn't. At this point, she's saying one thing, but her actions say something else.

I'm not short enough to survive on that!

I've spent a lot of years and a lot of money to figure out exactly what I need in terms of fat/carb/protein ratio, calories, exercise, etc. I also don't for a second suggest to anyone that it's an easy thing to do. Becky isn't near ready to deal with it, which probably has a lot to do with her attitude, but I hope sometime soon she has a doctor who will talk to her straight about it, that she's very likely to die before she's 35 at the rate she's going.

I agree it seems that Becky isn't ready, I lost a lot of weight in my 20's on the Atkins diet, but granted that doesn't work for everyone. Calorie counting is the easiest to follow imo and Becks obviously has some knowledge of it but it appears to be a bit hit and miss she said something about Pasta being 1500 calories but offered no connection to the actually weight of the pasta. 1500 calories on it's own means nothing it's about 350 per 100g IIRC.

If I start I cant stop, I have to eat the entire bar of chocolate, or the entire bag of chips. Im not the kinda that can eat in moderation. I have to act like an alcoholic and stop it cold.. 0 sugar, 0 simple carbs.
