Has the eviction crowd always been like this?

I started watching BB UK beginning with the shift to Channel 5 (I live in Germany). I enjoy watching the series, but I really can't stand the eviction crowd on Fridays. I'm finding the constant booing too vile and mean, and it's really uncomfortable to watch. :( I'm asking myself what kind of people these shouters are. Has it always been like this in the past?

In contrast to the eviction crowd, I like the audience at BOTS. Those people seem to be the brighter viewers.

Booing was a very rare occurrence in the early years, but now they boo everything.

They've always cheered the loathsome house-mates and booed the decent ones, it's always occurred, I was fully shocked when they booed Arron a few weeks ago.

Just look at their track record for cheering house-mates... Josie Gibson, Jay, John James, Charlie (BB10)

And who they've booed. Aaron, Faye, Ben Duncan etc etc.

No. The overwhelming crowds started around BB7, before then you'd get the chanting and booing for the Adele's and Grace's but not constantly. Now, they're just a bunch of chavs baying for blood.

That's one of the reasons I'm against bullying being used by BB for entertainment.Not just this programme obviously.But TV has a large influence on people without much intelligence to start with. It will make our youngsters be even f worse in the future and look how dumb and uncaring they are now.

Most of them just don't know what morals means.I asked some kids a few years back if they knew what the words selfish meant and honestly their jaws dropped dumb founded like they hadn't a clue or a concept what was meant.

I'm beginning to wonder now with the crowds there though.Do BB do some kind of automatic test to get a quick response from them to judge their IQ.

Say something like producing a reflex action to see if they can add 1 + 1 to make 2.And if you fail you get in.If you can do it, you are judged to be too intelligent.

They real;ly are thick as pig s**t.

Housemates' didn't ever get booed though until 2004 - then the crowd turned wild.

Oh jeeeeeez... for the third time. There WAS chanting and booing from around the third series onwards but it was never as constant as it got in later years.

In the earlier years you'd get the cheering and booing for a housemate when evicted but at other times during links and with Davina they were just a normal crowd not chanting crap constantly.

Yes and it's not just because of Davina, there has been a constant dumbing down and becoming colder and colder amongst our youth over the years.And that's why not allowing BB to be based on the bullies having the upperhand and winning is really important.Because these b rain dead are so easily influenced by any kind of media.
They buy the music they're told they should,if they're bold enough to vote they vote for who they're told to vote for and if bullying is rewarded and treasured in BB it means these f become even more uncaring as though they gave a flying f about anyone else at the moment as it is.

They really are brain dead heartless filth and the world would be so much better without them and do we want a country of Conor's and Caroline's in the future.

yeah the first booing was in bb3, which compared these days wasnt bad at all
bb6 was the first time that crowds became angry, then bb7 started the whole "get grace out"

I can't stomach the eviction shows anymore. The crowd is disgraceful and ruin the eviction for me. They should only boo the really nasty people who deserve it, like Conor and Caroline, not the people who just annoy them. And they need to stop chanting "get X out." It's just meaningless now.

Thanks. :) Well, I can tell you how it is in Big Brother Germany. Booing was never this harsh and extreme, but after more and more people in the audience did it, it had become forbidden. If they still booed, they were threatened to be chucked out of the studio. I don't know if this is the better way to deal with it. It would be the best if they simply got brighter people to be part of the crowd. But I have a feeling that BB even wants to have these nasty people. :(

As others have mentioned booing started way back in the early days, but the first time it became really unpleasant to watch was at the BB6 final when Makosi was evicted. Not only was the reaction harsh, but the way Davina handled her interview and the fact that there was a larger-than-normal crowd present for the final just made matters worse. I mean, they couldn't even conduct a proper interview because the crowd was chanting "LIAR! LIAR!"

In BB7 the whole "Get Grace Out!" thing felt fresh and relevant and compelling, but after that the "Get _____ out!" chants have become really contrived. Sezer also got a really horrid reception that year (rightfully so :laugh:)

Charley obviously got the WORST boos in BB8, Nicky's were up there as well. I think the "Brian! Brian!" chants in the later weeks were the last time we had positive chants (that I can think of anyways).

no they havent always been this bad. Before BB10 they were no where near as chavy and entirely repulsive as they tend to come across now both in general appearance and attitude.
