I don't think we should make fun of her but as other people mentioned, she made her whole VT making fun of how fat she was so she would get on the show. Her eating is also a big part of her personality, because it shows her insecurities. She always gets pissed off whenever Deana mentions dieting. If Becky was really happy with her body, she wouldn't get so angry about the topic of dieting or try to delude herself into thinking that it's okay to be the size she is. The fact is it's unhealthy and there are so many risks that go hand in hand with being obese. I think Becky would be a lot happier and more secure if she started facing the facts. Taking out her anger with her own appearance on Deana for talking about wanting to improve her own body certainly isn't helping matters.

As soon as Becky gives people something to talk about besides food and fat, they'll talk about her in context outside of food and fat. Her size didn't come up when she was shaving her hand hair, or when she jumped in the pool, of when she didn't know or care about the Nazis.

People don't talk about Adam because, with the exception of the moob incident, he doesn't make food or his size the focal point of every interaction he has in the house. It has to be acknowledged, though, that if that's the only thing she gives people to talk about her, that's all they're going to talk about her.

Ashleigh calling her a whale tonight should be a conversation about Ashleigh, not as much about Becky, but Becky's the one that decided to impersonate an elephant for laughs, so you can't ban the entire animal kingdom. There is another thread somewhere in which I was stating my views on Becky and Jords explained that he doesn't like people being judged just on their looks, weight, etc, which unfortunately happens a lot, too much, in the world today. I conceded his point and reinforced my own, which is my own reasons for not liking Becky and its not for her weight however, I'll not repeat them or we will be here all night :p

So hopefully that explains it better and I agree that it would be silly to have to put IMO after every post, we're hopefully sensible enough to take that as read :)

Adam doesn't make an issue about his weight and talk about it. Becky is the one that brings the topic around to food and her own weight. That's the difference.

Most people of reasonable intelligence can tell someone being sincere from someone being a passive aggressive twatwaffle. The kinds of comments Caroline and Ashleigh are prone to making fall in that 2nd category.

Deana or Sara, who have a professional interest in maintaining their body weight are going to notice if they gain a pound or two, and shouldn't be forbidden from verbalizing that realization just because there's a fat chick in the room. I saw countless friends over the years who'd been skinny all their lives suddenly have to deal with gaining weight because they'd had a baby or gone off the college to live on french fries and beer, and when they complained about getting fat, I didn't internalize it and take it as some passive aggressive attack on me. I felt sorry for them and gave them advice, because seriously, you want diet advice, talk to a fat chick, not someone with the metabolism of a shark.

The fact that hearing Deana or Sara say they feel fat or that they're getting fat (very likely, they've both gained weight, since they're in a sedentary environment with a lot of bad food and alcohol) is enough to set Becky off, means she absolutely is not comfortable -she's oversensitive about it. No, I think she's 19 and on the lower end of the intelligence scale, with the idea in her head that one day she'll just have gastric bypass or they'll invent a superpill that will fix it for her, and she'll be skinny and beautiful and everything will be better, while she still gets to eat her McDonald's every night. I can pretty much guarantee that has no idea that if she becomes hypertensive or develops diabetes, it's there forever, that the fatty deposits she's building up in her arteries today won't disappear on their own.

Absolutely agree with every word. She's building up a whole host of problem for herself. No one needs that amount of calories, unless you're walking to the North Pole or something. Adam is likely my height. I'm 207lbs after losing 50lbs over the last year. I'm pretty muscular and still have some fat I can still lose. He looks way fatter then I did when I was 257lbs last summer. I'd say he is closer to 280-290lbs. Give or take a few inches and he still has over 50lbs of fat to lose. Even with his muscle. He is definitely obese by BMI definition. Too many people have this diluted view that obese people are only those people that have enough fat to cover their chair when they sit on them. You don't have bouncy man boobs that rival the women in the house when you are "overweight".

Becky puts up a happy go lucky fasade because it is the only way people will accept her. The old stereotype of being fat and happy is no longer funny. She opens her mouth and fills it full of calories which she dosent burn off. Her burn off rate is lower than her intake and people like her are a drain on the NHS. Each fat or obese person costs us the tax payer more than cancer does. Obestity is endemic of poor self worth and I have no sympathy for people like Becky.
